Your opinion on psychics

RE: Your opinion on psychics
Wow....that is really freaky. You know I have this theory about life right now...that when something causes you to be two or three minutes behind....say your car won't start until the third try....your key to lock a door at work gets stuck...you get behind some slow person in traffic....etc... that these might be little interventions from Angels keeping you out of trouble. Try to notice the next time this happens if you don't see a wreck or something as you finally get to go along your merry way. I can say I have seen it for myself so many times. Absolutely amazing. So now I don't get upset about those things anymore and politely say thank you when it happens.

Think about the number of people that were late for work the day of 9/11.....

RE: Your opinion on psychics
I think that the biggest majority of the time we never know what we have avoided or missed. Ya know what I mean? You leave the house and for some reason you get delayed and perhaps you miss a car wreck or something but you are never aware of it. Of course the same thing can be said about leaving early. Suppose things go so smoothly that you are able to leave 2 or 3 minutes early and you avoid something bad happening because of it.

I should also say that I think leaving later, or leaving earlier can also lead to you being involved in a car wreck or other mishap. To me it is usually a random thing although I dont doubt that things can be "arranged" in such a way at times for either the purpose of helping or harming.

However, here is a wee story I thought I would share ...

I my old home town (when I was about 18) one of my friends Mother was a local psychic. She was a very unstable woman, prone to heavy drinking, and her behaviour (especialy to her own family) was erratic and unpredictable. Basically everyone thought she was just mad.

One day, as a young girl friend of ours was about to leave the woman's house (after only visiting her son for a few hours) she was literally grabbed by the woman, pinned to the wall quite violently, and the psychic woman went on to tell her that something awful was happening at the girl's home, and she should not go there. She did not specify what was happening, but was so distraught that it freaked the young girl out enough that she did not go home, but instead went to another friends house.

A short time later the girl went home. She discovered her Father's dead body blocking the door to her home, went inside and found her mother dead also. The father (an ex-policeman) had shot his wife and himself. A note found later said that he intended to kill the whole family, but she escaped because of the intervention.

Like I said, I do not believe in psychics. But I do not have an explaination for this.

Do you have any evidence of this? a news article or something.

RE: Your opinion on psychics
Unfortunately not at the moment. I am sure it was covered by our local newspaper at the time, but I can't find anything on a cursory google search.

I will try to find out. I bet someone I know still has the paper and could scan it. I will post it as soon as I can, if I can.

RE: Your opinion on psychics
Thanks Scarygirl67 thank you, I will try to make a point of doing so. Uglynrude, I actually agree with you quite a bit. NO psychic is 100% accurate. I dont rely on my ability as proof of anything, I use it to assist in determining were to look and take photos at a location, or to investigate a location in the first place. In my book, no physical proof=no proof. We are never going to get anywere in the fiekd of metaphysics if we cant stop bullshitting ourselves first.
So by all means please continue to question everything that you are presented, that is the best possible approach when dealing with the paranormal. As for the photo, Cant help you there, as it is the property of a client. I dont keep copys for myself. I am not out to make a name for myself, and I really dont want to fight the battle of trying to prove anything.
Jist remember, no matter what proof is found, if someone finds something that you look at at go "WOW" this PROVES everything, without a doubt. well, there will be another person going, thats a fake its photoshopped, etc etc.
So my new friends, I bid you a pleasant evening.

RE: Your opinion on psychics
I would have to know someone and know they're credible to trust them completely. And if they know me, that would color the reading, in my opinion.

I believe that there are people who are psychically gifted. I have met several. But I just can't follow anyone blindly with no questions asked. If there were a psychic along on a paranormal investigation, I would take what they say into account, but not without a lot of questions.
