A live paranormal investigation

RE: A live paranormal investigation
I think people like investigating ghosts because it picks up their adrenaline. But in the ones I have done with my wife nothing really happens. What I'm trying to do is secure a place where I can install a web cam or something and run it for 30 days or some length of time. It seems everyone, well here in the US, is all about wrapping up an investigation within a night or day. From what I hear ghosts appear infrequently so I don't think a night or a day or even 2-3 days maybe long enough.

Investigation is all about work. I think television shows make it seem like fun but I go through hours of evidence and try to weed through a lot. I'm always taking notes (have a DVR for both EVP and one that runs the entire length of an investigation). Thanks for the link I'll check it out when I get home.

RE: A live paranormal investigation
Is it a bad idea to do investigations with only 3 people.....well alot of times it's just me and my friend tessa (Josh is either sleeping or scarin the spirits away). Normally I'm the one sleepin Blueud Man we have some good times though. I think if you do investigations it should be with people you know...I mean people your close to. Me and tessa are practically sisters and our investigations normally (if josh isn't with us) go very well.

Personally, I believe if the space is small enough or if you are familiar enough with it (for example one of your houses), you can do it with just two people. . . but, I'd say two pairs of people would be a good bet for a minimum if you want the best results possible.

Just don't split up into singles.

RE: A live paranormal investigation
We run with 5 people normally. Two pairs and one to monitor the equipment and cameras. Works out well, but it can be done with 4 people if need be. When the TV shows started coming out I noticed many groups do the same type of thing. Ghost Hunters have like 9 people. Now thats a lot lol. 5 seems to work just right, cuz if need be the two pairs can join up for strength in numbers if things get to hairy (which they have with us quite a few times).

RE: to my post re: the licensing or certification of potential gh.

The notion of picking one time of the year to be decent to other people is obscene because it's actually validating the notion of being miserable wretches the rest of the year.

We have 7 members, usually have 5 on an investigation. We did have one that was so small of an apartment we only could squeeze in 3.

yea we mainly do investigations at our friends house. she lives next to a cemetary (its practically in her backyard) and spirits visit her house on a daily basis.
