Inviting The Demon - A Ouija Board Story

RE: Inviting The Demon - A Ouija Board Story
I agree with Lena. This is not a game or a toy, I don't care if Parker Brothers sells them or not. From what I understand, there are very specific procedures for opening and closing the board. And just because you think nothing happened doesn't mean a door wasn't opened. Please keep us posted with what you decide to do. My advice is.........don't take it lightly.

RE: Inviting The Demon - A Ouija Board Story
Shelly, the woman who wrote the story Inviting the Demon, has just posted a fairly long reply to the comments on her story.

I think I'll still use them, but maybe more carefuly if there is a way? When I first started using one, I didn't care what might come through and did invite anything because I really wanted to see something. That probably wasn't the best idea, but it's back in it's box in my room now.

RE: Inviting The Demon - A Ouija Board Story
I am not educated on the proper uses of Ouija, but there should be some ideas in the other stories of the board. I wouldn't just trust anything, and certainly not online, as anything can be put on the 'net. Check some of the other stories in the Ouija board section of the home page. "is there a safe way to use a Ouija" would be one to look at.

Just be careful. My own experience was enough to scare me off of it!
And Caretaker............I posted a quick comment under Shelley's response. She's amazingly brave for telling this story.

RE: Inviting The Demon - A Ouija Board Story
I am overwhelmed at this story. What an experience! My mother had one of these boards in her closet for years. She forbid us to use it, and I'm not sure why she kept it. I tried it once with my brother and a couple of friends. I am HAPPY to report that nothing happened. I have never had another interest in it, and never touched one again. After reading this story...I def. will never go near one again! Wow! what a story.

RE: Inviting The Demon - A Ouija Board Story
Even though I won't rule out this story to be true, but it isn't very believable for several reasons. For example, MSN talk by a demon? U instead of YOU... That's a bit weird to say the least.
Another thing, that bothers me is that it is written in a very story-telling way, telling only just enough details. It is really written like a commercial writer.
