RE: Astral Travel Experiment - Try It Out
Astral travellers for years have talked about the silver cord. The premise is that if you become detached from the cord or it should break, you can't return to your body.

There is as well a practice called 'dreamwalking' which has been used for hundereds of years by Native American people. Dreamwalking is astral travel...and no cord is used, nor is it neccesary. Different people have different methods, and all work.

For the believer, both the evidence of science and the failure of science to explain the paranormal is all the proof they need. For the sceptic, no evidence no matter how scientific will ever be proof enough. ~John Zaffis

RE: Astral Travel Experiment - Try It Out
I only have one experience but it isn't about 'astral travel', but of 'obe'. I think.

All i remember is this: I'm getting out of bed, it's still dark in the house. I walk to my bedroom doorway, stop and look back to see myself still laying in bed sleeping. I continue walking into the hallway and to the top of the staircase. There's only one thing strange about this... the staircase was in a spiral shape and i couldn't see the bottom. As i start to step down it felt as if i was getting pulled by some pressure that was coming from the darkness at the bottom of the staircase. Of course that scared me, i ran back into my room and layed into the laying body on the bed and woke up scared... I was afraid to look in the hallway.
Now, i really am not good at any of this but i'm assuming i experienced something along the lines of 'obe'...???

To astral travel you have to be in your astral body and to be in your astral body you need to have a cord that still links you to your physical body. If there is no cord then you are not in your astral body and if you are not in your astral body you aren't astral traveling. I'm not discrediting Dreamwalking but dreamwalking isn't astral traveling.
