RE: Astral Travel Experiment - Try It Out
I have tried it but once I relax its off to sleep .... and I never remember dreams so I gave up.
Plus doesn't my mind have to be there fully before it can leave? When investigating paranormal don't rely on assumptions, base your decisions on evidence. |

RE: Astral Travel Experiment - Try It Out
When i astral travelled, my mind was totally in control. It helps if you practise meditation first, so that you can train your mind not to wander onto other thoughts. I've done this for years and maybe because of that, that's why i found it pretty easy to achieve astral travel.
Gosh, i can never understand it when people don't remember their dreams. My dreamlife is part of my life, i dream so vivid, i've woken sometimes and thought that certain things have really happened. I used to have terrible dreams though and wished i couldn't remember them, but now they're normal again. One day UNR you'll end up having something paranormal happen to you, i can feel it in my bones! I have a friend who wrote a few articles on my sight, he's called Wayne Ridsdel, he was just like you and then out of the blue he went and saw a ghost and now he's transformed! It is particularly comforting to him though as he is dying and knows it. RE: Astral Travel Experiment - Try It Out
I imagine UNR would be on here like a shot telling us! I promise I won't say 'I told you so' either. Gosh, it would be hard though wouldn't it scary?

I promise, no one will say "I told you so"! ![]() Greyfriars Bobby's Ghost All my life I always wanted to be somebody. Now I see that I should have been more specific... |

RE: Astral Travel Experiment - Try It Out
I would love to try it out. Wow, can it be done by the daytime. I'm way too much of a scaredy cat to do it at night.

I can also bombard my front temporal lobe with a magnetic field and see god, aliens, demons, ghosts, what ever I imagine. Does this make it less real? Does being able to identify things in the real world prove that you are out of your body? For example, people can do things like remote viewing, where they are able to identify distant objects etc. without leaving the body. I think Astral Travel is great and very real, I just don't think we really leave the body. Everything we experience is very real, but one does not need to leave their body to experience the outside world. Make sense? I was going to go and read what my then husband had written, by astrally travelling down the stairs and then reading it. |

Actually, I think that John the Revelator had an experience that he described as being in a Heavenly place in actuality or he was there only in spirit. He said he was unable to tell which was true. How is that for ambiguous? I have always believed he was there in spirit. ![]() jeff Forgiveness is next to deity. |

I think this would be more of a self hypnosis then an Astral Projection experiment. I mean relaxing in bed and thinking of your self getting lighter and lighter is Self hypnosis 101. It is more possible that you are so relaxed you actually "Feel like you are floating" Astral projection is a form of meditation and some claim takes many years to achieve.. I mean to be the Devils advocate here there is no real proof Astral Projection even exists. However I do believe in deep meditation personally and AP but I just dont think it can be achieved in this manner. “Protected by Witchcraft" Member of the Black Hat Society

RE: Astral Travel Experiment - Try It Out
I've had one OBE. To make a long story short, I learned a couple of things from a Tai Chi master who appeared on a PBS program. I'm not comparing myself to him.
I returned home from work one day many years ago with a disabling Migraine Headache. Other parts of my body were hurting as well for some reason. All I could think about was "getting out of my body to escape the awful pain." I focused all my attention on my abdomen/bowels, which is considered by the original Christians to be the seat of our emotions. Once I had a clear awareness of that part of my body, I started slightly moving my focus up vertically through my body as I was sitting up in bed. To be clear, I was focusing on my "awareness" of my body, sensing everything in each movement upward..., sensing only what I was feeling in that particular spot in my body..., losing sensation of the lower places I just moved away from. All my awareness eventually was inside my head. It felt like all the nerves in my body had been brought along into my head. I could feel no pain from my body, or anything else for that matter. It was like "all of me" was inside my head, with a slight sensation of the top of my head. Inside my head seemed like I was in a cavity, preparing to exit, no longer aware or feeling the rest of my body. Suddenly, I was aware of being just above my head, seeing the top of my head and the rest of the room. At this point I felt like I was continuing to drift slowly toward the ceiling. I was a little worried because someone suggested that if we practiced leaving our body, another spirit might enter during our absence. So I cut the trip short, and slowly descended into my head again, and regained my feeling of my whole body. The headache was nearly totally gone..., just a slight pain now. I didn't leave the bedroom, but I did leave my body. I could do it again at will, but I'm not going to leave my body wide open for just any other spirit to enter. I guess you could call me a "home body" of sorts. None of what I've said is an exaggeration or imagination and especially not a lie. I'm just saying I believe we can exit our body, but I know nothing of the risks being taken in the process. I wish you all well. I don't practice this myself. jeff Forgiveness is next to deity. |
