My experience with a Ouija Board

Sponsor Messages
This may be a bit long, so that I’m careful not to leave out something that may be important to note, so bare with me. I used to play with a Ouija Board a lot when I was younger. I have always been fascinated by things paranormal, and things we can’t explain. When I was younger I was convinced that every time we played with the board someone had to be pushing the planchette, and nothing weird ever happened. In 2007, my 20 year old cousin committed suicide. I was grief stricken, as we were very close, and had treated him as though he were my own all of his life. The reason he had done it was a complete mystery to me, and the rest of our family. One night I had my best friend over, and I trusted her to play the board with me to try to contact him and was certain that she wouldn’t do anything to upset me by pushing the planchette. I have always heard horror stories about the board, and things that could happen when using it, so we took it to my out building to play it alone. My husband didn’t want it in the house anyway, and neither of us wanted it around the children. We went inside the building, lit a candle and meditated a few minutes to clear our minds, then started asking questions. I began by asking if there were any spirits there that wanted to communicate with us.
A few minutes passed by with nothing happening. I asked the question again, and still nothing. I decided to ask the board if my cousin was around anywhere, if I could please contact him. About 1 minute later, the planchette moved to “Yes”. I then asked the spirit (or whatever it was) to tell me their name. My friend knew my cousin’s first name, but didn’t know anything else about him except his age, and the suicide. The planchette then moved to spell out the letters ”JLR”. JLR was my cousin’s initials! Because nothing ever happened with the board when I was younger, and always convinced someone was pushing it, I began to cry, and asked my friend if she was pushing it and that it would be hurtful for her to play a game like that with me knowing how close I was to him. She got a little upset, and said that she would never do anything like that, and that she couldn’t believe that I would even ask such a question. So, I proceeded to ask more questions. I said “If you are who you claim to be, how did you die?” The planchette spelled “GUN”. By then, I was excited and scared at the same time! My friend knew he committed suicide, but not how. I was still in disbelief that I had actually contacted him. I also knew by what other people have said, and things that I have read about the board, that sometimes you won’t be talking to whoever the board claims to be, and that many spirits lie, and are deceitful. I then said if you are who you claim to be, can you show yourself? The planchette moved to “NO”. I asked where the spirit was, and it spelled “OUTSIDE”. I asked if it could give me a sign of some sort that it was indeed there. The candle went out. I lit it back, and asked again for a sign. The planchette spelled “candle”. I asked if it had made the candle go out, and it pointed to “YES”. I asked “Where are you now?” It spelled “INSIDE”. I said well if you’re inside, can you make a sound, or give me some sort of other proof that you’re here. The planchette went to “Goodbye”, and we tried for a half an hour to continue our session and nothing happened. We went inside, and I got the kids off to sleep, and we had just sat down to watch a movie when the dogs started barking. We looked outside, and they were looking in the direction of my building. We went outside and looked all around my building and my yard, but couldn’t find a reason for the dogs to be barking.
We went inside the building and looked around, and still nothing, but we could smell something that smelled like something was burning, but couldn’t find where it was coming from. We shut the door, got the board back out to try again, and the dogs stopped barking. It was after midnight, so it was quiet outside. I had left the carport lights on so my house and yard was well lit so that we could see if anyone or anything was out there in case the dogs started barking again. We got settled, and started to ask the board more questions. I asked if there was anyone present that wanted to speak with us. It pointed to “YES”. I asked “Who are you?” It pointed to “NO”. I then asked “Where are you?” It spelled “INSIDE”. I then asked if we were communicating with the same spirit as before and it pointed to “YES”. I asked if it was my cousin, it pointed to “NO”. I asked again for a name, and after a couple of minutes, it spelled out “Adramelech”. I thought what in the world kind of name is that? I asked my friend if she had heard that name or seen it before, and she said no. I asked “Why are you here?” It spelled “Invitation”. I said “Who invited you?” It spelled “You”. I said “How, through the board?” It pointed to “Yes”. We were creeped out by then, so I asked “What do you want?” It spelled “Fun”. I asked what that meant, and it spelled “You will see”. I asked “When?” and the pointer went around the board without spelling anything before going to “Goodbye”. We both thought it was weird, but put the board up and called it a night.
The next morning after the kids had gone to school and my husband was at work, I started cleaning up the house. Again, the dogs started barking and looking towards my out building. I went outside and looked all around again, and nothing. I went inside the building, and I again smelled something burning, but this time the smell was stronger, and smelled like sulfur. I looked all over to figure out where it was coming from, but found nothing. I went back into the house, and sat down to gather my thoughts, and looked on the coffee table for my cell phone and saw the notebook we had used the previous night to write down all the responses we had gotten from the board. That name we had gotten was weird, so I started surfing the net for it. I found it right away. Adramelech is supposed to be a demon, with his name meaning “King of Fire”. I got the following excerpt from Wikipedia:
-Adramelech, also called Adrammelech, Adramelek or Adar-malik, (Hebrew: אַדְרַמֶּלֶךְ, Modern Adrammelekh Tiberian ʼAḏramméleḵ; Greek: Αδραμελεχ Adramelekh; Latin: Adramelech) was a form of sun god. The centre of his worship was the town of Sepharvaim. According to (II Kings 17:31) the cult was brought by the Sepharvite colonists into Samaria: "the Sepharvites burnt their children in the fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim". The melech element means "King" in Hebrew.
I was officially freaked out, mostly because of the burning smell both me and my friend experienced. I called her and told her what I had found. Being a devout Christian, she said that if it was indeed a demon, we needed to definitely get rid of it, and that she would come that night with things we needed to do a “cleansing” to rid the spirit. Off and on all day that day the dogs continued to bark in the direction of my building, but after finding out what I read, I wasn’t going out there alone! She came over about 8pm that night, and we waited until everyone was asleep to do this cleansing. It was after midnight before we went out there, but as we walked in there the smell of burning was still there and very strong. She started burning sage and spreading the smoke all over the building while saying a prayer, and commanding any unclean spirits to leave in the name of God. The light bulb exploded and the dogs started barking again. We were both scared, but we lit a few candles and she continued with the cleansing. Then a box of Christmas ornaments fell off of a table in the corner of the building and it scared the life out of both of us. My friend had then gotten angry, and started demanding in the name of God for it to reveal itself to us. She started shouting this, and commanding it to leave. Out of nowhere, we heard the sound of a cat screeching and hissing outside the building, but the dogs weren’t barking. When we went out to look for it, there was nothing there, and the dogs remained calm. After all of that, I never did go back into that building alone, and I never smelled that weird smell, nor did the dogs bark at nothing anymore. I still have the board, but haven’t used it since.

RE: My experience with a Ouija Board
First of all I just want to say I'm sorry about your cousin, it's always sad when someone close to us decides to take their life. As for the board, its generally just a tool that takes energy from the users and channels it though the planes or dimensions which ever your prefer. It really has no power expect being a decent channeling medium. Most the work is done by the users of the board without them even realizing it.

The issue as you probably found out is you don't know what your talking to. There are many things out there that can read your mind without a problem, that's why good thoughts attract positive entities and visa versa. Everything is based on the energy that is put out there. The term demon is used a lot, but it's also a broad term. In general it basically means dark or chaotic energy and that's the type of energy they like. Because your a Christian it chose something that it knew would make you very uneasy in an attempt to get as much energy out of you as it could. If you were a Buddhist, Hindu, Native American or anything else it would of most likely choose a different name to give you. The name itself has a vibrational frequency that has a known effect that's why they choose them carefully. When your friend burned sage and commanded it to leave they were able to shift their own frequency to a higher rate then the entity and because it couldn't deal with it, it left.

I would recommend that may want to put off using the board anytime soon. Most board experiences are not good ones and this is because just about everyone who uses the board has heard at least about one bad experience someone else has had. When they think about that before using the board it's enough to sway the energy enough to attract some of the more unpleasant stuff.
