Seeing spirits, need info

Hello I'm new here and needed some information

Ever since I was a kid I was always seeing people and other things that werent there (I'm not gonna talk about that cause A. I was young so I don't remember everything and B. It could have been my imagination)
fast forward to when I was in my pre-teens I was still seeing things all the time and I was always hearing footsteps (even when I was alone) and voices, However gradually it went away and I wasn't seeing or hearing things anymore.
Now more recently I got in a car wreck when I was 16, fell asleep and when I woke up I was already on the shoulder on the opposite side of the road and after I woke up I crossed the center line about 3 time before I slammed into the ditch. The people that saw said I shouldn't be alive and was lucky (and uninjured at that) and the car even almost flipped when I hit the ditch (my outhlook on life has changed ALLOT since then)
Since that I have been seeing things again only way clearer now, good example: I was at park last winter in mousouri (It was getting dark there was no snow or ice and almost all the people had left) I was talking somebody and behind them (say 3 or 4 yards) I saw somebody in all white walking and I looked again and there was nothing there.
I've been having instances like that allot recently (only most are clearer) and just today I was sitting in my room and it felt like somebody hit my in the side
I don't know if this is important but my mom and her sister used to play ouija board (my mom is scared of them now and wont allow them in the house) and she said that her sister was very sensitive to that kind of thing and I may be the same way

Greetings. Thank you for sharing your experiences. There are others like you that have experiences and have no where to go and no one to talk to.

I am going to bring up a few points of interest to you, and ask a few questions.

How old were you when your Mum and Aunt used the Ouija board, and was that done in the place where you reside now?

Is it still in your home?

Have you moved since then?

Sensitivity to those beyond the veil tends to be hereditary in some family lines. If both your Mum and Aunt are sensitive, it's reasonable assume you are, and perhaps any cousins you have from that Aunt. I am sensitive (and female) my mother is sensitive, so was my grandmother and so on.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

Your user profile does not give a gender for you, so this will be more vague than I would prefer.

Women tend to have a higher level of sensitivity to the paranormal. This is even more so among teenage girls and those during puberty. Much of it is theorised that because there is a much higher spike of hormones, and subsequently, emotions around a young lady in puberty.

This could be why you saw things as a child, and it seemed to go away after your "pre-teen" years and return again after your unfortunate car accident. (Glad you are ok!) Also, trauma of any kind, even the mental trauma you may or may not have consciously suffered following that accident can make you more vulnerable and heightened your awareness of odd incidents around you.

Now, about the ouija board, please heed what I will say.

They were made by a toy maker (Hasbro, I believe) which is terrifying because they are not toys. They are doors. They are doors that, once opened, they cannot be closed. You never know who or what you might make contact with. Sitting around asking an ouija board questions about "spirits" in your home is inviting something through that door. Even something that seems benign can be dangerous. Evil hides with the most innocent of guises, and as such, you cannot trust any information you may glean from such a thing.

Personally, if you play with an ouija board, you might as well douse yourself in gasoline and light a match.

What you are seeing, the footsteps, the glance of someone who is not really there, could indeed be an over-active imagination. However, that is not to say that what you are experiencing isn't real. It is a fair bet it could be either.

If you have a particular faith you belong to, you might consider contacting clergy and speaking with them honestly about your experiences. The reason I ask about you moving is because if this has happened in more than one location, that means that you are the focus, not your home.

Simple house blessings can help in many cases, but barring that, you need to protect yourself as well.

As for your questions (I am a boy and 17 years old)

My mom and aunt were teenagers when they used it (so I wasn't born) I know for a fact that my aunt had a few spirits attach themselves to her but my mom wont tell me about her experiences
As for the ouija board I dont know where it is now (don't know if my aunt has it, its in my grandparents house or if they got rid of it) Again my mom wont tell me (and is frightened of ouija boards)

thanks for the warnings (most colorful one iv'e heard so far btw) my mom is kinda worried (and so am I) cause I keep getting pulled to those things out of curiosity (it's one of those thing where I feel like I have to know for myself) but so far Iv'e been able to hold back the urge

As for religion, my mom, aunt and grandparents were Catholic (mom is now following Hindu) and Iv'e gone awhile without any specific religion but just recently I started getting into Native American Spirituality

I was thinking imagination for some of it too, I do see lots of shadows and stuff out of the corner of my eye which I know is my imagination. But what I was talking about was when I see stuff completely clear right in front of me.

I have never moved (lived in same house all my life) but I have gone to my grandparents house where the ouija board was used (don't know if that would mean anything)

I was told that i had a very vivid imagination when i was a child. I knew these things where real. As i got older, my parents told me that they knew what i was saying was true, but they didnt want to scare me. They where also in touch with the spirit world.

There are times when things seem really reved up and at times it slows down. This has always been normal for me, although there are times, especaily if i am very stressed out, it can get out of control. I have learned to tell the spirit world, not now!!!!

The way i deal with it all is, i have a very strong faith with my Higher Power. This enables me to get rid of the negatives very quickly. There are also many positive things that happen, and i learn from all of this.

If you are in touch with the spirit world, you could enjoy many visits from those who have passed on. You just have to make sure that you know the difference in negative and positive entities.

I feel that you understand where i am coming from, and I think that you will have many wonderful visits in the future. There are also spirits that enjoy playing pranks. You may have covers pulled off you as you watch them slowly hit the floor. Could be lights flickering or light bulbs blowing out at the same time.

I know when there is a spirit lurking when 3 to 4 lighbulbs blow out around the same time, especially if they are all on the same side of the house, or in one room. Batteries will go dead, i recently posted about my watches and how the batteries all slowed down at the same time. How could 4 to 5 watches do this?? So, it can be irritating at times. By the way, i have been using 1 of the watches, and it has caught the time back up... i have learned to laugh at these silly things.

Exact same here (except my Dad doesn't believe in anything supernatural)

I have had electric devices act weird before, and as for physical things, I already mentioned that feeling like I was punched in the side (it wasn't just the pain but I actually felt something hit me)
Also the light in my room has covers that go over the bulbs and commonly when I am sitting at my desk one will fall off (and sometimes hit me in the head) then I'll put it back on and pull on it to make sure it's tight but it still falls off later

I am trying to learn how to contact my spirit guide but haven't been able to yet
And I am kinda worried that the spirits I'm dealing with are on a lower astral plane

No, sir, you are not a boy. You are a young man. But men mature slower than do women (no offense intended here) and you can still be spiritually sensitive, even if you are male. If your mother and aunt were, I can bet you are, as well.

As for the business with the ouija board, I am glad it's not apparently in your vicinity. If you DO find it, DO NOT BURN IT OR THROW IT IN THE GARBAGE. This can be just as bad as playing with it. There are ways to properly and safely dispose of one, should you find it.

I understand your mother's worry. I am nearly old enough to be your mother myself, and I can recall my own experiences at your age and how scary they could be.

Remember, not every sound in a home is paranormal. Not every shadow was natural. The best information and advice I can give you is this: Know who you are. Know what you are. Use reason and logic, and ALWAYS trust your gut instinct.

I work in medicine as a profession (home maker right now) and I have saved lives on gut instinct alone. If you sense something is amiss, and you can't shake the feeling, you are likely right on the money.

Briefly, about religion, brace yourself: I am known pagan clergy. When I was working in a unit of the local hospital, I was asked to perform last rights for a cancer patient who was pagan. What you believe, that is, what denomination has little bearing. But having a Higher Power, regardless of who he, she, them, they, it is, is important. I have found that faith will bear me through the worst of my fear to persevere.

If things continue to bother you, I can give you information from my father's people (he was pure blood Seminole, making me 1/2) on how to "clean" and protect your home, your family, your pets, and yourself.

Even with that, you may still see things. I do. As you get older, you will get more control over this gift and curse you bear, and it will be easier, that I can promise. I wish you all the best.

No offense taken, I'm home schooled but whenever I do see people from the school, the girls always seem more mature and I'm not one to deny a truth over something as petty as gender

Back on topic, I am curious as to why you can't dispose of a ouija board normally? I don't have one but just curious.
Also any tips to stave off the curiosity that keeps making me almost get one? I'm kinda worried that I might break one of these times and do it (I know its dangerous and I'm have built up a good fear of them but I keep getting this feeling that makes me feel like I HAVE to know for myself)

As for the instinct thing, my dad (who doesn't believe in anything paranormal) says I have great instinct. Examples: I am almost always able to tell if somebody is a good person or not or weather they're trustworthy just meeting them and when ever somebody is trying to sneak up on me I can almost always tell they are there before they even get close.
So assuming this kind of thing can transfer over to spiritual senses?

whenever I feel worried I just ask my spirit guide for help and it usually makes me feel better.

Girls DO mature faster, it's our biology. But I am glad you were not offended.

Burning an ouija board can have numerous effects, or none at all. Just the chance of something going bad is enough of a threat. Just as much as attempting to use it, burning opens a doorway that cannot be closed. Once it's open, it's open, period. Imagine a castle fortified with strong walls, but a very powerful enemy constantly barraging them. The great wooden doors catch fire, make a hole, and now that once-safe castle is flooded with enemies. It's a metaphor, but it fits.

If your curiosity is that insatiable, ask yourself why. Is it just to play with the board and see what happens? Do you want to make contact with the spirit world? There ARE ways to contact those through the veil and keep the doors closed. I can help you with that.

You can sense someone sneaking up on you for many reasons. I have this trait too, making me very hard to sneak up on. (A good thing when I suffer from chronic migraines and have kids that like to jump out and scream boo) You can sense their aura, or the electric impulses every human being has. Some say they just sense the "presence" of another person. (And if you are a mother, we call it having eyes at the back of our heads)

Do not apologise for asking questions. This is what can keep you away from spiritual danger and guide you towards a (safer) path that suits you. Listen to your spirit helper. They have been here millenia longer than you and have much wisdom to share. You may not understand it as you hear it, but at some point, it will click and you will have a revelation about important things.

Right, my concern in getting in to this stuff is the dangers due to my own pure ignorance on the subject. So when have problems or fear I like to ask my guide for help (and just hope they can hear as I am not yet capable of speaking to them)

Thinking back, i had a Q board when i was about 13 years old. It gave me nothing but trouble, and said some horrible things. It did get thrown out, and i have always wondered if this made matters worse. Back in those days, it was considered a toy and everyone had them.

When my sis-in-law found that my daughter and her cousin where playing with one, many years ago, it also got tossed.... i dont remember where they got it.

My advice is, stay as calm and cool as you can, and remember, the devil can only hear what comes out of your mouth. He cannot read your mind. For instance, if you wake up in the morning and you say how tired you are, the devil will take that and make you feel worn out. This is something i have to practice all of the time, keeping my mouth shut. I told my Mom that we would have to learn sign language,lol..... she is also being more careful.
