EVP's using a mobile Phone?

Would it be possible to do an EVP session via a mobile phones voice recorder or would it have to be better / more sophisticated audio recording equipment? I have a Samsung Galaxy S and it's voice recorder is pretty high quality, if possible i would like to maybe do a few experiments using it. I have never done anything like that before and being highly skeptical about EVP's, i'd like to give it a go.

Most people will tell you not to use a cell phone recorder as it doesn't record in the ranges of say a zoom H2. But if you want to then try it just remember a cell phone is made to transmit audio both in and out. So when you do a playback keep this in mind. I would turn off your gps and wifi while you do this. Also remember many apps are always looking for updates. So as long as you are aware of what your phone is doing then experiment.
