RE: When did the whole "3 A.M" thing start?
The 3:00am is supposed to be the opposite of the time Jesus died on the cross. Its supposed to be evil or the devil mocking his death. It was mentioned in Shakespeare as the witching hour it was included in a Frankenstein book in the 1800's.
Ok the problem with this is the location the time difference is 14 hours different from where I am so is 3:00 am based on where he died? if it is does it adjust for the time changes? spring a head fall back? If we adjust for the time change then the witching hour is 7pm here. Of course that isn't spooky so people cling to the 3:00 am time. Did Jesus really die at 3pm? there is much debate on this. Did Jesus exist? there is also much debate on this. So when exactly is the 12 hour difference? The truth is we do not know. So when does the 3:00 am time for your area kick in? Do you see a problem with worrying about it yet? People claim to experience more paranormal from 12 to 3 why? its the middle of the night, sleep disturbances , sleep paralysis, the home is the most quiet. So does it really increase? No just peoples perception of this does. When investigating paranormal don't rely on assumptions, base your decisions on evidence. |

As far as all my research has gone, it’s always been that way, long before Christianity, humans have always favored attacking at sunset or just before sunrise, it doesn’t matter what culture you look at we have done the same thing of eons. But to come a 3 am? That’s clever, that’s intelligent, that’s knowing your enemy.

RE: When did the whole "3 A.M" thing start?
3am is probably the most quiet time of the night as well... People who stay up late are usually asleep by then and people who get up early usually wake up around 4am. In other words, it's quiet. That is significant because when it's quiet, you can hear things you normally wouldn't notice since most of the "normal" noises are made by people being up and about.
... and what better time to start mischief than when everyone else is asleep? Bwahaha! |
