chakras vibrations how to

I am reading a book, recomended by my sister in law, to ride a silver broomstick, as introductory material to learn how to protect myself spiritually and so on. I have learned alot and I am still reading. But to get from one point to the next entails meditation, balancing your chakras, and later raising your vibrational level. The book does not specifically tell me how to do this as far as I can see, and I am only to the point of reading through and doing the first part of exercises or lessons. I have seen videos which claim to help you to do this. I have been told just how simple meditation is and that I don't need to add all that stuff i am trying to add, like music and guided stuff. But the simple doesn't work for me. Any good sources on exactly how to balance those chakras and about raising your vibrational tone? Am I really just complicating things? Chakras have been brought to my attention by several people I have met, who don't really know me, but suggest I try this for meditation. Just questions I have. I know the basics, I just am unclear on making it all work for me. In need of some healing and balancing.

RE: chakras vibrations how to
I have always heard that the music you listen to has a huge effect on the balancing of the chakra points in the body. Now while I do not necessarily agree with this...a huge school of thought does believe that music with hard-driving beats can put the chakras out of balance. I tended to balk at hearing that, because I am a huge fan of rock and roll, but I do believe in the power of music and its effects. To be totally honest, I do feel much more relaxed and 'balanced' when listening to classical or chants. (especially Gregorian). I'm probably not telling you anything that you haven't already read, but I hope that helps a bit.

the you tube vids with the music and meditation i find is helpful. i do like the chants helpful too. Any good source for these? I like the top fourties too, that probably isn't good. Native american and indian music is helpful. I just wondered if I was supposed to do something in particular. I keep being told I don't need music, just count my breathes and that just don't work for me.

RE: chakras vibrations how to
Well, I would think that most music stores would have Gregorian chants on CD. They are often used for meditation. The local library here has a very large collection of chant CD's. In the meantime, just type in Gregorian chants on youtube and there are several up there. Lots of the Native American music would be good as well and is also often used. I think a lot of it has to do with balance too. I mean some people will go all out and never listen to rock music again because the believe it damages the chakras.

So if I were you, I would go through the youtube vids that have the chants and maybe search for some of the Native American chants as well..see what makes you feel comfortable for clearing your mind.
