I've read several stories like it myself, even similar ones from that very time frame. I would imagine a lot of common stories came out of times like that...and certainly the 'ghost' aspect of it I have read before as well.

I really enjoyed your story. Sounds like you loved your grandmother a lot. I wish people would live longer, and have many stories to remember them by. I've seen the news coverage of all the bombing that was happening then. It is a wonder that so many survived, and almost unbelievable that so many didn't.

I believe that history keeps repeating itself, because we just don't learn from our mistakes. I often wonder if we will ever have world peace. So, sometimes I just have to make peace for myself. It isn't easy.
