I thought I would post this dream, it's one of the more interesting ones I've had recently. A little background before I get to the dream which makes in more creepy. I have had dreams about water since a really young age in many cases the same dreams. In some cases if I'm even awake I'll get random flashes of people, places, one of which is a port city that I have never been to. It's not really a big topic of discussion even with my closest friends, I keep a lot of this stuff hush hush. Even more interesting is a number of years ago I had my birth horoscope done and it suggested that I would die near water from some sort of trauma. My father told me he would not buy a boat because of dreams of me dying on water. I never could understand why one of the images that would flash in my head was a port city that I have never seen before. Last nights dream may have shed some light on the image that I have wondered about for a long time.

Last night I must of been really relaxed because I don't remember falling asleep felt more like entering a comma or something. Anyway I had a dream if I dare call it that, it was really vivid you could almost taste the air in it. I was in a car with my friend nate, he was driving and strangely enough it was in a city that had a port. Well it was night time and the roads were confusing and we ended taking this wrong ramp and nate wasn't paying attention and he ended up launching the car off like this steel ramp that looked like train tracks and the car hit the water hard.

The force of the crash must of knocked both of us out because when I came to we were both now in the back seat of the car. and the car seemed to be sinking. I don't know how we got out of the car but we did but the water felt strange like a mixture of bathwater and something else. I tried pulling myself up on a piece of steel sticking up out of the water that a crane operates from but the steel just bended like it was only half there. It was then I noticed that nate had started swimming in a random direction for some reason. I called to him but of course he didn't listen he just kept swimming when I started to chase him I noticed a random dock that had a series of yellow life rafts tied to it. I swam to two of them and grabbed them and was able to pull myself into one but when I tried to give one to nate he just kept swimming and eventually just faded out.

As soon as I got in the life raft this weird current picked up and I just started floating off. The next thing i know I'm floating past my elementary school and thats when I notice that that my other friend who died in a car accident last year is swimming along side of the raft. I don't remember the full conversation but someone said something like "don't worry your not dead yet", the current changed and the raft switched direction and started going in the opposite direction. I then heard this extremely loudnoise like a jet starting a decent and that's when I woke up.

Could this of been a warning not to go on a trip I may plan at some point? I dunno, but it makes me wonder when combined with my past. Shortly after i woke up from this dream I got a a phone call from another friend and one of the things he told me was I shouldn't drive with nate. Needless to say I'm going to think twice before driving in a car with him if we are going to be in a city with a port in it.

That really is an interesting dream, although I couldn't help you with what it means. I'm not saying that I don't believe in prophetic dreams that take place literally..I have known people to have them. However, I do believe most of the time they are symbolic, and I think a lot of it only makes sense to the one doing the dreaming. Writing them down helps because you might discover the symbolism by looking at it.
