What's the scariest dream you've ever had? Can you still remember it? Does it still scare you? Describe it.

RE: Scariest Dream?
Oh wow...I've had some odd ones for sure (the ones that I remember). Let's see, the scariest was when I was staying at my grandmother's house one night when I was probably about nine or ten. I thought I had awakened and I looked outside the bedroom door..and across the hall was one of the most horrifying looking creatures I have ever seen. It was sort of human looking, but really, really distorted. Tall, long black hair with a mouth that kept moving in this strange, babbling motion..I don't know how else to describe it. Really exaggerated features on the face, almost like it was melting.

It was such a disturbing image, it woke me up for real. I didn't have the sensation of not being able to move like I did in my one case of sleep paralysis, but it was one of those moments where I turned the lights on, turned the TV on, turned the radio on, and tried to get it out of my head. Many years later, I still remember it, but it doesn't scare me anymore. I have no idea what inspired it..most likely it was just random.

But it is kind of weird that I still remember it clearly after all this time.

"When you feel like a toad on the highway of life... and everyone seems like a steel-belted radial... when you're lyin' there squished in an assortment of bodily fluids... at least you left your mark." ~Arnie Dogan, "The Red Green Show"

RE: Scariest Dream?
I have two, but the one that really sticks out in my head is one I had when I was about 5 or so.

I was living in Pueblo, CO with my parents in a modest house with a basement. Well, one night I had a dream about a tornado, but it wasn't a typical tornado. The skies were clear and this tornado was white with what looked like black, rectangular windows on it. It was huge! The tornado was rotating, but the windows were not. That's one thing that always stuck out in my head about it. I tried to wake my mom up, but she just wouldn't wake up, so me and my dad finally went into the basement for protection, leaving my mom upstairs. While we were in the basement, a small tornado shot out of the top of the large one and came into the basement. It stopped spinning and it turned out it was a man. I asked him what he was doing and he said, "Getting all the people that hide in the basement". I think I woke up right after that because I can't remember anymore. It scared me so bad, that even at the young of age I've been able to remember every detail up until that point.

I had a really crazy dream recently that I wrote notes on and I'm trying to piece together again. Based on my notes though, that may deserve its own thread when I figure all the details out again.

RE: Scariest Dream?
one of the scariest dreams I had was about the end of the world. It was a long time ago. i dreamt that we were all inside a camp of sorts. Then there was a church there, I went in, and a demon or the devil was there. It was basically made of fire, red and scary looking, did not resemble a person except in minor details. It had a face. I woke up quickly. Another dream I had when younger I was attacked by a man, and I did not see it like I usually do, watching it, but actually like he was right there. I could remember detail about the mans face.
One scary dream I had when younger I still remember but it's real silly, but it was frightening to me. Letters and numbers were coming at me. I think I was sick at the time and it was a fever induced dreams.
I have a lot of scary dreams or disturbing ones. Very vivid dreams. I can wake up, then go back and finish the dream. the scary ones don't usually bother me so much, I am used to those. It's when I wake up and I am thinking the dream was real for awhile thats freaky.
