Demon Exorcist
Sponsor Messages First no medical or psychological help was sought. Next ... the demonologist was setting up the camera walking around the room when on the monitor the women involve claim it showed spirits. Lets look at them. We first see a couple pieces of lint float by, next a few orbs. The demonologist states on television it was demonic spirits in her home. He now seats up a radio shack hack and calls it a ghost box. He then ... as the radio scans keeps telling his client he is hearing her name and death. Now with all the radio channels being scanned you can imagine it saying many things. Now lets look at the claimed symptoms, parents used them in satanic ritual, so traumatized. Now she claims that a demon would visit her as she slept and paralyze her and smother her....... But did this demonologist mention sleep paralysis? No he said it was a demon. So what will now happen to those that see orbs and experience sleep disorders that watched this show? They will now instead of using common sense and seeking the truth, will believe they are dealing with a demon. So once more another step back in the paranormal field. When investigating paranormal don't rely on assumptions, base your decisions on evidence. |

RE: Demon Exorcist
What the HECK????? I thought the show was supposed to be about animals being sensitive to the paranormal..or is this a different show? And if it's the same show...it's just another example of the television industry wanting more demons. (You would think with the agents and entertainment lawyers, they would be set, but apparently not).

It not only hurts the paranormal field, but it doesn't do a thing for the publics views and opinions on religion as a whole either. A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything. ~Friedrich Nietzsche Feel free to tell me what you need and I will tell you how to get by without it. ~Mom For the believer, both the evidence of science and the failure of science to explain the paranormal is all the proof they need. RE: Demon Exorcist
Well said, LK! I've been keeping my eye on the demons in the government seeing what is going to happen there so I didn't see this episode. Sounds like I'm glad I missed it!

Running to look at the TV guide.
edit: I missed it by an hour. People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is light from within. ~Elisabeth Kübler-Ross |

RE: Demon Exorcist
Then, remember that ratings determine if a show will continue or if it ends up cancelled. The best way to get this kind of garbage which harms the field and encourages the "demon of fear" off the air would be to ignore it. Refuse to view it and make sure the show dissapears. RE: Demon Exorcist
The haunted had some good ones, but when any of the ghost shows mention that pictures of bugs and dust are ghosts or demons, you know it's pretty iffy. It seems everyone is jumping on the demon bandwagon lately. I think the only one that doesn't go in that direction is the scifi one Ghost Hunters. They are pretty careful about debunking stuff, and I haven't heard demon on that show at all. Saying that, i think Ghost adventures has great entertainment value. As I laugh as they jump and anounce everything that moves or makes a noise is a spirit, evil spirit often, and Zach is pretty hunky. I just watch the show to see if he is going to take his shirt off, because he got scratched by a spirit or something, or to show off his tats. Just saying. Lol. Love his tatoos.
new ghost show coming on tonight about haunted objects. Will keep a count of orbs. In the eighty's about half of all counceling patients were victims of satanic rituals. The fact that there was a push to find these victims by the councelors is lost with this guy I guess. No checking out of background or psychological help or anything to verify is scary in itself. |

RE: Demon Exorcist
It's TV, so yeah, it's entertainment..but I did finally watch the Demon Exorcist episode, and as LK said..I watched it once just to get the idea of the show. I won't be watching again, and I will never understand the fascination with demons. I'm not saying they don't exist, because I flat don't know. But the ones that go around making definitive statements saying that there IS a demon and there IS danger are perpetuating fear. I can't even say this show is perpetuating that, it is so ridiculous. The whole Satanic ritual thing...mm hmm. Heard that one before. Most of those stories were either flat fabrications or false memories planted by suggestion. But hey...gotta make it scary, huh?
