Crazy experience last night

So I have pretty vivid dreams and what not usually but overnight last night I had a quick series of intense short dream experiences the culminated in me having a fight or flight reaction in real life at the end of these. I awoke feeling that someone was in the bed hovering over me from my wifes side of the bed.
I literally cocked my fist back and grabbed my wife pushing her into the bed and told her dont move dont fricken move at ALL.
Of course shes sleeping and sort of shrugged and moved and the thinking part of me is already analyzing that :

A) She doesnt listen to me even in her sleep and even if it means her potential safety (lol)
B) The quickly receding feeling in the right side of my brain means that it probably isnt real dont hit it unless it moves. seprerate from her HOLD UP man!

It did ,in fact , disappear quickly and I was left with wondering did I have stroke or something?
Then we had that huge ol storm last night that I heard coming at least 10 min before it hit and had me running around praying my house didnt get damaged as it sounded like a jet/train for a looooong time before the rain hit.
Oh so the thing looked like a shadow but I dont think it was real.

Well first off, no I don't think you had a stroke. I think you were literally feeling yourself wake up. (don't feel bad about your wife not listening...everyone knows we're much better at talking! =P)

That had to have felt so weird though. Thanks for sharing it...dreams really fascinate me because I do think in some senses they are connected to our waking life. Keep us posted if you have any more.

Sure will, never had one where I woke up before hitting someone, usually I just start beating the crap out of the bed while asleep!
I can usually observe the ol mind working and control dreams, the other night I was just observing all the random words that were flashing thru my mind as I slept and on some level was amused at the complete seemingly randomness of them all, wondering if they had a connection, but then at that point the word part figured out I was watching and that I was getting deep with it so it stopped and I woke up .
I always dream in color too as a rule.

Strange awakening sense for sure. I dream in color except when it's precognitive...although sometimes one or two things may have color.... pretty weird, too! LOL

and SG's right .. we yak better than listen

Oh yes..that is definitely one of those times I would prefer it to be a ghost...uninvited living people coming in your house are way scarier!
