RE: Which horror movie will you not watch by yourself
I am normally pretty good at watching horror movies alone. Normally I watch them and "audition" them for my husband to see if it's worth him watching it or not!

I suppose one of the few I don't like watching alone is The Ring. That's one of my favourites, but it always creeps me out.

I used to get quite scared watching The Entity alone but that was over 20 years ago and I lived alone. I don't get scared watching any scary movies now because I know in the back of my mind it's all an act.
I did get freaked out reading The Amityville Horror when it first came out in '78 and I took it on a backpacking trip into the mountains - boy was that tent zipper fastened properly on that holiday Icontexto-emoticons-04-032x032

LOL @ Sweeny. I don't blame you. I actually get more creeped out reading horror books alone at night than watching scary movies - it's the way books leave so much to my imagination.

The Entity was definitely the one when I was younger. I first saw it when I was about twelve and thankfully at a friend's house..neither one of us slept much that night! :0

These days it is "Audition". A Japanese movie that came out in the late nineties...I cringe just thinking about it.

being alone dictates my need to have to watch horror movies by myself but I can't think of any except maybe the exorcist when it first came out.

I enjoy watching them alone... not having to tell a certain person to keep her eyes open for certain scenes! LOL But my experience w/ Paranormal Activity II and my blinds... which I detailed in the PA 2 thread... now that was a bit creepy... Blueoh

Exactly!!! I have been so scared by some books that I couldn't sleep for a couple nights LOL. Movies...not so much tho

Faeries, come take me out of this dull world,
For I would ride with you upon the wind,
Run on the top of the dishevelled tide,
And dance upon the mountains like a flame.

Yes that movie at that time seemed to really hit home with many people.Almost like the realization that they had demonic traits themselves but not on such an intense and uncontrollable level.
