Dark Core energy

RE: Dark Core energy
IMHO...every person has a "dark" and "light" side about them. I strive to achieve balance between both in order to be a more well rounded spiritual person.

I like to say in order to achieve happyness, you must learn to face your fears and find a perfect balance between the two.

I also don't think energy is light or dark, but rather the person using said energy.

Much like witch craft, its the practioner that makes it light or dark. Not the craft itself

Faeries, come take me out of this dull world,
For I would ride with you upon the wind,
Run on the top of the dishevelled tide,
And dance upon the mountains like a flame.
(William Butler Yeats, "The Land of Heart's Desire," 1894)

Are you saying that every person is inherently both good and evil? I've always been under the impression (And I think logically so) that we were capable of both good and evil actions, not born into this world with the tendency for both. Kind of a contradictory thing there.

I agree in balance. The balance lies in the "choosing" of your actions from a level head, not greatly influenced by your emotions, but more-so by your ability to reason, and use your brain to figure out what you should/want to do. This positive energy (stemming from love, happiness, etc) and negative energy (stemming from I think you get the point) is better used to try and expedite the decision you want to follow through with.
"Perfect" balance seems to be a wishful aspiration, seeing as we cannot control what we feel and when we feel it. However, we can control how we react, and, how much of what we feel, we let dictate our actions. You seem to think that the purpose of all of this is to achieve an over-all positive state in life. With that I respectfully disagree. As I said before, the positive can hurt you just as much as the negative can. Just as well as each can help you, too.

RE: Dark Core energy
Why does it have to be 'good' and 'evil'? Why not positive and negative? Or light and dark? Negative doesn't have to be evil. It's not good to have it out of whack, but it doesn't have to be evil. I do agree that too much of anything, positive or negative, is rarely a good thing.

This....

Dark doesnt automatically equate to evil. Dark can be anything from negative thinking, emotions and etc. Such as being a constant worry wort or on the other end of the spectrum, too happy all the time and can't handle if something bad ever happens.

To much of anyside is a bad thing.

As for good and evil. Depends on your personal definition of evil?

RE: Dark Core energy
Who's been claiming that dark=evil? I don't remember seeing anyone post that anywhere. All I see now is everyone agreeing in a different way, with comments about extremes never being a good thing. That is good. Icontexto-emoticons-03-032x032

No one claimed that "dark" was evil...but your above statement I quoted is sorta kinda where the conversation took the turn.

RE: Dark Core energy
I see where it took its turn now. I didn't think the post before was very clear. You see, IMO, I think that emotions do not make up who we are, our actions do. When I say that our emotions should not determine what actions we commit ourselves to, that is saying that we essentially have a neutral and rational center of being that makes the decisions. This center should not be, but often is, influenced by our emotions. And then we act.

The comment of the post before said that we had a "dark" and "light" side. This is a little different from what I was positing. The obvious interpretation is that they believe we have both a good and evil side, since I still believe that emotions do not qualify as things that make-up who we are. The "Dark" and "light" in people have to be natural functions. Thus, good and evil combat in a person, and they must learn a way to "balance" the two to be functional.
