How often do we listen to people here say they hear footsteps or doors opening or closing? But did they really hear that? Do you know your water pipes can be the cause?

Do you hear Bang, Knock, Clunk or Clang, or other noises? Fog Horn, Bleating, Wailing, Moaning, Humming, Screaming
Fluttering, Rattling, Chattering, putting, Knocking, Whistling, even Tapping, all these can be traced back to your water system. Now so many people don't want to know the truth, they prefer to think they are haunted, how many have already stopped reading this? Most I bet because so many people would rather believe its a ghost instead of looking for the real cause.

I suggest people understand sounds that can occur in any home. This is just one area that is often claimed to be ghosts because people don't understand what it probably is.

Now is this the only sounds that occur in a home at night? No we also have wind, furnaces, boilers, heaters, homes shifting with the ground, animals and so many other things.

When investigating paranormal don't rely on assumptions, base your decisions on evidence.

Really useful links UnR Icontexto-emoticons-03-032x032

In my experience not enough credence or consideration is given to such sources as probable explanations. I recently visited a property where the occupants thought they were experiencing the early stages of a Poltergeist and were hearing scratching noises in the walls and ceilings at night.

A thorough search of the attic soon established via the discovery of fresh mouse droppings that the Poltergeist was small and furry Icontexto-emoticons-01-032x032

RE: Is that a ghost on the stairs?
I had the foghorn toilet! =P I am not kidding..after every flush, there would be this LOUD foghorn sound right after the water had filled up. I never thought it was a ghost...but it was one of the weirdest sounds I'd heard come out of a toilet! (I know that sounds terrible, but I don't know how else to word it!!)

All of these "home sounds" can be strange, especially if you aren't expecting to hear them. Thanks for providing the links...a lot of good information there! If you don't mind, here is one that talks about the sounds that water heaters can make as well.

ALWAYS check to see what can naturally cause something before assuming it is paranormal.
