Sleep paralysis or something else?
Sponsor Messages Anyway, she said that they had her tied to a chair and they were scratching her arms, I think she said with needles, or their pointy sharp finger nails and chanting "she's one of us now" She said that her arms were bleeding and that it hurt so bad. She woke, but couldn't move her body, she tried to scream, but no sound came out. I said - what if you were dreaming all - she said -not possible. She could see everything in her room, but could not turn her head. I'm not sure how long she said it lasted. I didn't believe a word she said lol. I told her not to tell anyone or they'd think she's possessed, or evil in some way...I was joking of course lol. Seriously though, I didn't believe her story. This is the first time I have ever heard of sleep paralysis. I'm wodering if that's what happened to her? I would like to tell her that she has nothing to worry about ![]() What do you guys think? |

RE: Sleep paralysis or something else?
Sleep Paralysis happens more often then one would think. Expecially upon waking up from a night mare. There is medical explinations for it I believe but since I'm at work I dont have time to search for one LOL.
Faeries, come take me out of this dull world, For I would ride with you upon the wind, Run on the top of the dishevelled tide, And dance upon the mountains like a flame. (William Butler Yeats, "The Land of Heart's Desire," 1894) |

RE: Sleep paralysis or something else?
IMO she has experienced sleep paralysis... look up the definition and see if her experience is similar. |

RE: Sleep paralysis or something else?
During sleep paralyzes you may find that you are awake, but yet you are dreaming. That is why people are sure about what they have seen belongs to the reality. It becomes some sort of a mix between your dream and real life, and that may be the reason that your sisters dream took place in her own bedroom.

RE: Sleep paralysis or something else?
Sounds to me like it started as a nightmare that she was partially awaken from and then dream and reality merged. I have only experienced sleep paralysis once and it was one of the scariest things I have ever felt. I was extremely hot and thought I could see my grandmother. The scariest part was not being able to move or yell out. I never want to go through that again. I read somewhere that sleep paralysis could be a symptom of a migraine headache but don't think I believe that. The most logical explaniation I have heard is that your body is still in a state of REM sleep when you wake up and so it cannot move. I think this is logical because when I did experience it I had been working 3rd shifts and my body was sleep deprived. I guess I woke up before my body was ready to.

She described people that looked evil. They looked burned, she said. Women were wearing, I can't remeber if she said white gowns or black. She said that one was the devil. He was red...the way everyone thinks he looks. Red, horns, just ugly! I've had sleep paralysis since I was a young child, and that is exactly what it is like. I can see everything going on in the room, but can't move or scream. There is usually an evil presence that is either holding me down attacking me. My last one, I kept choking and felt/saw a demon choking me. It's very scary. Doctors say there is a medical reason for this and it's not spiritual in anyway.... I've always been a lucid dreamer too. I'm not sure if that's linked. |
