RE: black mist
Here are some examples of A FINGER in front of a flash. As you move the finger you move the shadow.

Paperbutterfly, I think your picture is very interesting. Thanks. He is my two year old son. My sister took the picture and she never has her finger in the way... ever, especially when catching a sweet moment like this. She says her fingers were clear outta the way and I believe her. I'm almost mad that the shadow ruined the pictures, especially the second one. I respect everyone on here and everyone's input but I really think that shadow is something else... That door on the right was closed and is a downward staircase that leads into the basement. The shadow looks to have a shape and at least in the second photo I don't think it looks like operator error. It looks like the shadow is pretty much sitting my bro in laws lap!!! |

RE: black mist
i am not entirely sure but it look like something is climbing up. it look like it might have come from the basement. i mean it is possible. right but i cannot tell if it is evil or anything like that.
Even though you are in darkness, there will always be a light to guide your path.

RE: black mist
UnR hit the nail on the head about trying to reproduce the shot. It is best if you can use the location where these were originally taken. Take a photo making sure everything is clear and then take some photos intentionally sticking your finger in front of the flash and then see how they compare. The obvious has to be ruled out first before considering the paranormal. As for shape, I think it looks more like the end of a finger more than anything else. Trying to reproduce the shot will tell you if "operator error" might be a possibility. I would have to say this would be next thing to do. Last but not least, the exif information needs to be retained with the photos so proper opinions and comparisons can be done.
