I hadn't seen that thread Ali, thank you for locating it. I would agree...it may well have been your mom especially knowing the importance of touch to her in communicating with you. People often misinterpret scratches and marks left by spirits and it can be frightening...unless you think about it from the perspective of a passed on loved one. They aren't intending to harm you. They are doing everything they possibly can, desperately, to let you know they are there.

If you were in someone's home, wandering, watching and calling out their name and still they had no idea you were there...it only makes sense that you would poke, pinch, scratch or even take their belongings to get them to pay attention.
