I also suggest seeing if there is any recall on your hair dryer as many varieties have been recalled for turning on them by themselves. I am also sure most companies recommend you keep them unplugged.

A few recalls, Conair, Revlon, babyliss, Monica” and “Turbo 1200” handheld hair dryers by Style Tronics. Hair dryers are the third leading cause of house fires.
When investigating paranormal don't rely on assumptions, base your decisions on evidence.
