Don't know if this is the right section for this or not:

I was wondering about these so called spirit guides.....and my question is: Do they have to be human spirit guides?

The Native Americans believe in what they call totem animals.....

Just wondering if the general consensus of those who aren't native americans is that the spirit guides have to be human or if they could be an animal spirit......
