Ghost or Demon?

Well as far as the cemetery goes, there were three of us there. We went into the reformatory first, which is now just ruins. It was built for young females (not sure the specific age...) Whilst in the reformatory we didn't experience anything at all, but shining the torch across the ruins we found rather large spider webs with rather large spiders in them, as it was dark they were hard to see so we decided to leave and go to the cemetery. The cemetery itself was on a block of land infront to the reformatory.

Both the cemetery and the reformatory is said to be haunted by the spirit of a girl called Ruby, who the last priest, who was supposedly mentally unstable, was allegedly involved in her death, the back story goes a bit further to the haunting and was actually rather interesting, which is why we went in the first place.

Anyways once inside the cemetery we were having a look around, found the grave site of the priest in question, and then continued to try and find the grave belonging to Ruby, which is supposedly fenced off but unnamed - somewhere near the back. So thats where we headed to the back of the cemetery. At the fence line of the back, there was a little information stand thing about the reformatory, which was right behind it. We continued to walk the fence line, looking for the grave. This is when I heard what sounded like footsteps behind us, in the grass just beyond the fence, in the land belonging to the reformatory, one of the other people i was with also heard it whilst the other did not. We stopped several times to try and find the source of the sound but couldn't see anything moving, but it was dark and the grass was long so it could have been a rabbit or something. But i only ever heard it when our backs or sides were to the fence. And it sounded like it was following us.

Then i felt a presence, could have been my mind overreacting to the sound i don't know, but it definitely felt male, cant explain why but it just did. My cousin said she also felt this some presence of a male. Now i guess it could be because we were thinking of the priest and that would be a logical link for our minds to make, i don't know. But whatever it was it felt like it wanted us out of there, both me and my cousin described it in the same way. We felt like we were being ushered out of the place. We were both feeling this and starting to freak out a bit, and even the third person, another cousin who is somewhat of a skeptic was a little freaked out. So we decided to head back to the car and leave. On the way back to the car i suddenly felt very, very cold, like i was wrapped in a blanket of ice. I didn't say anything as i thought it was my mind playing tricks on me (as on the drive up there i was telling people how apparitions are commonly believed to be endothermic reactions, ie using up energy in the atmosphere around them, making the air cold). But less than a second after feeling cold my cousin said she felt really cold, and was getting shivers, the third person said his face felt tingly.

So we hurried back into the car, where two other people were waiting and then headed home. I was pretty spooked out by it, but my cousin was affected worse, i have never seen her going so long whilst driving without talking, or having a smoke. She was really freaked out.

We had video taped most of the time in the cemetery on my digital camera, quality is poor as it is not intended for night use, and we only had one torch between the three of us. There did seem to be a couple things glowing near the grave of the priest, and it didn't seem to matter where the light was in respect to them, however I'm sure it is probably nothing.

After looking at a few photos and watching the videos a couple days, i just put it done to a mental thing, sort of a group hysteria type thing.

And yes i would say that the activity did start to increase after this occurred, but not straight away, things sort of just continually progress.

I don't seem to have trouble with lights any more, and my TV situation is a lot less common, but physical objects, that seem to progressively get heavier, burns and scratches and the voice are what bother me now.

These are photos of the third burn I mentioned, unfortunately i didn't think of taking photos of the first two, the first was on the bottom of my wrist in a rectangle shape. The second was on the back of my hand in two patches with lines going through them.

OK time for another update... Today at work I saw something on our CCTV camera footage that was very interesting indeed... It was approximately 5:57pm local time, three minutes before my shift ended. I was telling my sister about how i felt something push me yesterday at work, when she said something along the lines of "What was that?" I had no idea what she was on about. She then pointed to the monitor connected to our CCTV cameras. She then proceeded to tell me how she saw a ball of light speed across the dining room, head towards the camera and disappear of the screen. I asked her with disbelief: "you mean an 'orb' right?", I thought she was mucking about, teasing me, you know as big sisters do. But she was being serious, so then i thought she imagined it... So we both went over to the screen and she went to show me where it moved from, and as her pointing finger got close to the screen another one appeared and did exactly what she had said the first one did. Darting towards the kitchen (heading straight towards us ARGH~! )

Now i know there is a lot of speculation over what could cause these such 'orbs' (well mostly i have read up on the photo versions not so much the videos so please correct me if I'm wrong), things like dust, or bugs or moisture in the air etc etc etc. So I got to thinking what it could be. Dust entered my mind but quickly left again, i have watched that screen for hours (not all at once) and have never seen anything like this - plus there was no-one//nothing in the vicinity to unsettle any dust, and it has been raining here for the last couple days so most topsoil is pretty waterlogged at the moment. Plus outside the dining room is concrete walkways. And the store is as clean as it has been in a long time. Don't really get much dust inside the kitchen, just grease. Then i realised we have a bug spray system that sprays every 10 or so minutes. So i got to thinking maybe the lighting had reflected of the vapour causing the effect. So then we waited for the bug spray to go off again, twice but nothing showed up on the screen. And besides the first two 'orbs' (if you will), were less than a minute (two at the very most) apart, so I don't see how it could have been that. We have spray bottles of sanitiser chemical, which i proceeded to spray in the air around where the orb may have possible shown up (trying to take into account that the video image is a 2D representation of a 3D world.) But again nothing. So I was stumped.

I then spent about half an hour playing around with the CCTV unit to see if i could get it to play back or copy or something. But without a users manual it was a bit tricky, plus we aren't meant to use it at all (hope i don't get in trouble!) thus i didn't wanna play around with it too much in case i stuffed something up (pretty sure i wouldn't i am fairly well technology savvy, but i wasnt willing to risk it). I spent about 30 minutes trying to google up a user's manual or instructions or something but i couldn't find one anywheres!

Any idea guys? Anyone know what could have caused this? If you could give me any ideas that i could use to try and recreate the 'orbs' to debunk it would be greatly appreciated!

Also I desperately want to get my hands on that video footage, so if anyone has any experience with CCTV units please help! The unit model number is PDR - 440H. Please let me know if you are familiar with it, or if you find some sort of manual online i can look at to hopefully get a copy of the footage (if work will allow me to that is!) Thanks guys

I can't load the scratch photo for some reason.

You did say the burns and scratches appear and then are gone within a matter of hours?
That is where the time and date stamped photos would be of interest.

The toys could be simply someone or an animal (dog, cat) putting them there and then dragging them to the backyard.
Then again, who knows? Without seeing them appear on the doorstep or moving on their own to the backyard, there is really no proof.

That doll head is creepy!

Re the orb on the security monitor ... I understand your interest and concern but I am truly not much into thinking most orbs are paranormal. I'd be more inclined to think it was "energy" if it illuminated, vibrated, and changed size or shape.

Hmmm, well i doubt a child could get through a locked gate to put the toys in my backyard, or my dog for that instance, but i know it doesn't sound that convincing...

The scratch stayed for two days, the burns all appeared when i got of bed and then were completely gone the next day when i got out of bed. So around 18-24 hours max... Too long to be a mark from leaning on something, not long enough to be a proper burn (as far my experience goes, and I'm pretty experienced with burns working in a kitchen...)

I'll have a look at the scratch photo link and see if i got it right, but it isn't that interesting just a scratch on my leg lol My digital camera wasn't set up to put the dates/times on the photos when i took them... Plus that doesn't prove that much as date and time settings could be simply changed before taking the photo... But yer as far as I'm concerned the photos weren't taken to prove when the burns where happening, rather to give other people an idea of what type of mark they looked like to hopefully be able to give them some ideas as to what could have caused it...

I was just going to say..couldn't see that last image! Thanks for posting the link.

Your marks...if you work in a kitchen, you could be getting slight burns that you are not even aware of...until later on. I used to work in a restaurant, and I would notice marks like that, and not know where they came from. Mold in the home can also cause rashes and marks like that...I lived in an apartment that had a mold problem and again....would wake up with marks similar to that.

I agree...that doll head is too creepy! No facial features..I know that is time and the elements causing it, but wow...very sinister looking.

The video...you said that there is bug spray that is automatically released. I'm wondering if a bug happened to escape the fumes and was trying to get out of there! Again...just a thought to throw out there as a possible natural explanation.

I know NOTHING of video equipment so I will leave that question to someone who does...but thanks for posting the pictures, and hopefully with all of us together, we can help you figure out what might be going on.

it definitely seemed to be moving very, very fast i couldn't imagine a bug moving that fast but i could be wrong...
