I don't believe I am gifted. I have seen one spirit and had one weird experience in a haunted house, but I don't think I have spiritual insight as an everyday thing...

I'm gifted! I have two beautiful, smart, healthy (for the most part) children who love me with all their might! I have an awesome boss and a cute little duplex with a garage door opener.
I'm gifted.
Oh... wait... You asking if I'm psychic? Yeah, but I can't channel it. It just happens. I don't even know I am right until after whatever I have felt has happened. I think that is how a lot of people are, though.

I've only ever really had one 'psychic' experience and that was when I was a lot younger.
My Mother had gone shopping out of town and hadn't said when she'd be back. I was playing on the park with my friend and I suddenly turned round and told him that I needed to go and meet my Mum off the 'bus. I got down to the 'bus stop just as she was getting off, laden with shopping.
I've never had an experience since.

I think that we are gifted in some way or another most do not realize that they are but we are.
I dream of things to come and if I can get the point of the dream I can change it done that many times it seems that after I have been married it is allot stronger.
I can do some other things but I have sorta tucked those in a dark corner and turned them off.
If you are strong enough you can turn your gifts on and off as you want to but you have to have a strong will power.
If the gift is some thing that is helpful and you have them tucked aways as I call it and to if god sees that you must know it then he will show you no matter if you can control what you have.
Caretaker is gifted as well in more then one thing as am I
I have a person who I learned from on how to control these things.
And then again even if I did not or could not do nothing then just think with my mind I am still gifted
With my wonderful husband and two beautiful daughters and a bright future ahead of me with my family.

I feel that we are all gifted in so many ways!! I just loved the answers so far. Being gifted can mean so many things and can be taken so many ways, its really a wide open question!! For instance, my hubby is gifted in many ways, one being a hands on healer. With his gift, God works through him. He is very private with this and has never charged anyone for being healed.
You may ask, if he is a hands on healer, why cant he heal me? I am not supposed to be healed, God has me right where he wants me, but, when the pain gets to bad, my hubby will pray and lay his hands on and take the pain away, as i dont want to take pain meds.... Im sure i will be asked, are you sure this is not mind over matter. Suggestion?? No, believe me, when you have nerve pain to the point of crying, no one can suggest to me that its not there.
I have had many days where i could , litteraly barely walk, and am very crippled for weeks at a time sometimes.
I have seen for myself as my hubby has worked his healing on others. I had a cousin that was very ill for many years, and he used to help her through her pain with his healing. I remember, she had a friend from another state come and stay the weekend with her, just so we could visit and my hubby help her. She was suffering with severe depresion. After her visit with my hubby, she was much better and went home to cope with her problems...

I am empathic...often feel others pain. As well have the gifts of knowledge and discernment, and what I call spiritual sight. I didn't recognize these gifts as psychic gifts however until just a couple of years ago.
I used my gifts primarily in the church for faith healing and inner healing prayer work. As far as the story behind my gifts they have always been there...but increased in intensity after a near death experience.
I admit sometimes I freak people out with the info I share with them...I have learned to just keep things to myself unless I am directly approached.
I would like to start a support forum for kids (and adults who knew they were gifted as children) to provide information and comfort. It isn't an easy thing to accept sometimes and it can be very frightening when you don't understand what's going on.

HL, i think that is an awesome idea about the kids!!! I would love to help out in any way i can, i just have to be careful with myself of getting to close to thier problems. But, as far as being there for support and letting them know there is nothing wrong with them and they are not crazy, hey, im there!!!!!!!!
I have always been this way, and i wish there had been a place where i could have talked about it. I think my life coule have been much different if i had had more guidence with my gifts when i was young.
Now, after all of the months of tests and knowing that i will be on this planet much longer than i thought, i am seeing a new outlook on life. I am feeling strong, more positive, and letting it out. I wont feel any shame, as everything i say is the truth down to every detail. I know who i am, and thats what counts. Also, in my case, God is always with me, and totally understands me.
I do have something of the paranormal that i will be posting, its very interesting, and something that is happening with my mom...
