Raincoat Man - Sammie - 12-21-2009 02:34 PM

I have been around paranormal activity as for long as I can remember. I can recall seeing my first "shadow person" around the age of 6.
The house we lived in was undoubtedly the most eerie place I have ever lived. Almost every person in my family had encountered something strange in that house, and chose not to let me in on the secret at such a young age. I, however, could feel something strange in the house, so I chose to sleep in my mom's room with her.
One night I had woken up and saw the shadow of a man standing at the foot of the bed. Of course, I was absolutely terrified, but I somehow managed to go back to sleep. This became a regular occurance. I had become so accustomed to waking up and seeing this shadow figure over the bed, that I would just wake up, notice he was there just watching, and go back to sleep.
I told my mom, my sister, anyone who would listen about this shadow figure. I had no other way to describe him, but to call him the raincoat man. He looked like the shadow of a man wearing a long rain or trench coat. He had no definite face or definining characteristic. He was just a shadow who wore a raincoat.
And he just watched me sleep. Sometimes I would have night terrors, but after getting used to seeing this man standing over my bed every night, I became less and less concerned or bothered by him.
My whole life I have told people stories of the rain coat man, and I had no idea that others have saw him until I stumbled upon this website.

I think shadow beings are some how related to the Moon. Maybe you have a related story about Moonlight?

Hmm.. no, not as of yet. How do you believe they are related to moon?

Maybe you've unknowingly called something? I think that the Moon is inhabited by spirits. You should think back and try to remember something about when you looked at it or something. That no doubt will be a large clue to what's happening.

My opinion is the shadows that are seen sometimes are manifestations of energy that is around. If the energy is negative, then the presence is going to feel that way as well. You said at some point you stopped being bothered by seeing this shadow, or got used to it...do you still see it to this day? And once you stopped being afraid of it, did it seem negative to you?
