I feel the need to become a Psychic - Sweetneers - 04-01-2012 07:04 PM I don't know what it is or why, but I feel the need to become a Psychic, and use the ability to help others. I really don't know why I've become so interested in being one, but I have. I know that my grandmother had a lot of Psychic moments. I feel like I also possess these abilities, but I really have no idea on how to exercise these abilities, or to find my spirt guide, or anything of that sort. I'm sorry if this post is a little scatter brained, I'm having trouble composing my thoughts on this into words. Any advice on this subject? Thank you so much! Love and blessings! RE: I feel the need to become a Psychic - geogirlforever - 04-02-2012 02:33 PM No worries on your style of writing, the reason you have come aboard is for some suggestions. May I add that you've come to a great location on the net, now I may not be of any good help but there are members here that can assist you better. If I were in your shoes and I had the ability to see/or sense things around me I would seek someone in your area that is a psychic, someone that can teach and help you develop your gift further. Have you done anything else besides thinking about it? Also, first thing. I would talk to my family, say your mother or father. Since they lived thru that because of your grandmother, then they might be able to help. I am sure that every family, has a family member that is a great believer in anything paranormal. If you can't get help from your parents/grandparents, seek other family members (the believers). Please do keep us posted. RE: I feel the need to become a Psychic - Haunted Lady - 04-04-2012 07:31 AM I think Geo offered some great suggestions. Also, it's a good idea to really evaluate your gifts as well. When you say "become a psychic" keep in mind that everyone has a unique blend of spiritual gifting. We are all psychic to some extent, but not everyone has the gift of mediumship and can communicate with passed on loved ones. As well not everyone has the gifts of wisdom and knowledge, though they could certainly learn to develop skills of divination such as reading tarot cards or runes. Something to be cautious with, when looking for a mentor be certain you aren't just learning 'cold reading' techniques utilized to gather information by tossing out bits of info in order to get a response to validate general truths among most of the population. This is the way that many paid psychics operate, it's deceptive and it's only to gain your trust and your money. It's easy to learn, but it isn't about using psychic gifts to help others...it's fraud. Some suggested reading on your path of self development; Picture Yourself Developing Your Psychic Abilities by Tiffany Johnson Psychic Development for Beginners: An Easy Guide to Developing & Releasing Your Psychic Abilities by William Hewitt. Both books are relatively quick reads and will give you a good foundation for discovering your own unique blend of spiritual gifting. Hi, I would highly recommend the series: The Anastasi System: Psychic Development Series by Sandy Anastasi There are around 6 books and it really really helps! I'm still on book one but I really like it! I do a lot of highlighting! Good luck! |
