Ghost of a little boy

This is one of my most vivid and interesting memories of a paranormal experience that I had... Please excuse all the details before I even tell about the paranormal part. It's kind of necessary for the story to be understood.

It was the night of my little brothers birth. Or the night after, I can't remember. But both my parents and baby were still at the hospital and we were waiting on our aunt who was supposed to be there to babysit us. I was alone in the apartment along with my older sister, and younger sister. At the time I was 5, my older sister was 10, and my younger sister was 4. There was a thunderstorm going on. No electricity. It was also night time. Obviously we were all a little scared anyway being without our aunt who was late, in the dark with a storm going on!

Anyway we had a huge apartment. It had a downstairs that led into our parents bedroom. Cool spiral staircase....

We were in our living room when all of a sudden we looked over near the staircase and there stood a VERY vivid little boy. All white. Pale skin, transparent, glowing, and either a red hat or red hair. That's literally all we could make out of his appearance. No facial features. Maybe just the outline of his face. We couldn't make it out... Obviously we were scared stupid and just stared in terror. We watched as this little boy floated towards the staircase (slooooowwwwwly) and then sloooowwwly floated down the staircase. I remember whispering to my sisters something along the lines of "What does he want with our parents?!?!?!" or SOMETHING like that. After that. We ALL agreed on what we saw. We all saw the same EXACT thing. This... was completely and 100% real. And we all bring it up from time to time to this day! It was by far the craziest and most vivid paranormal experience I have ever had. I mean I was just 5 years old, and my younger sister was 4, and we ALL vividly remember this.

I need some explanations or theories!!! Been wondering about it for 18 years! We've all discussed it over the years and theorized, but of course we'll never be sure who that was and why he was there on THAT night, going into our parents bedroom. We have theorized that it might have had something to do with our little brother being born somehow... ????

What do you guys think? I need some answers big time!

RE: Ghost of a little boy
It sounds very coincidental that it was that night and the fact that it went into your parents bedroom...things like this have always made me wonder about reincarnation...that this was the spirit that would become your brother.

Thanks for posting it here...and for sharing the details of it.

That is the simplest answer that we could come up with. So many questions! One thing that might be insignificant, but I'm still wondering, do you think there was any meaning the red on his head (hair, hat.. we could not figure out what it was)?? What the heck could that mean?

I honestly have no idea. It is very interesting though, and the fact that you remember so many details of it shows how much of an impact that image had on you. I wish I could help you, but I just don't know what it could be.

RE: Ghost of a little boy
Have you ever noticed that grass grows much faster after a thunder/lightning storm that it does normally? It isn't just because the grass was watered. It is scientifically proven that lightning causes higher concentrations of atmoshpheric nitrogen and oxygen in air which produces nitrates, which in turn makes grass grow faster. Nitrate enriched rain falls to the ground fertilizing the soil.

Try to think in terms of energy. Lighting is an invisible negatively charged stepped ladder that zigzags to the ground in segements of roughly 40-50 yard increments. The pattern is forked, and as it nears the ground it becomes attracted to a streamer of positively charged energy. The collision of this energy is lightning, and it usually occurs via a conductor, something tall like a tree or house. If the atmosphere itself is dense enough it can as well be the conductor, explaning why most lightning never reaches the ground.

We know about residual hauntings. They are imprints of energy from a time long gone that replay over and over like a tape recording. They move through the same patterns of activity without actual interaction with the people who encounter them. I (and other paranormal researchers) have long suspected that atmospheric conditions can spur this type of Earthbound energy. Reports of encounters with otherworldly entities during lightning storms are significantly increased over reports from conditions which are more barometrically stable.

This is exactly the type of scientific data that the paranormal field hopes to gather in an effort to understand what may be the most prime conditions for activity. What does it mean for you? Lightning storms are creepy, and it's more likely for ghosts to appear.

Circumstances and environmental conditions such as this like this are why more people report shared sightings. We are just beginning to understand energy. It is my hope that one day we can come to fully understand the effects of energy and the paranormal, and how they work together.

From what I've read, yes it is, Birdy...it's like a video tape that's in a loop, playing the same scene over.

Hey, paperbutterfly. Nice story. I wonder if all you little kids are what attracted him. My daughter saw little "half kids" (as she calls them) at her Elementary school. I believe the kid energy drew them there.
HL, I can't believe I never put the two together. Duh! Anyone ever notice ghost stories and stormy nights go hand in hand? I feel like such an idiot. LOL
