Always in my Face

This house was bult in the begaining of the last centurey around 1900 or so and was later on added too in the 30's. To begain with myself and two other bothers who were older than me would never be in our room which my parents found to be a little odd so to say - like they would find my oldest bother sleeping in the livingroom and when ask why he would say "I can't sleep in that room" after that it was called 'that room". Well one day I came home form school and it was already dark outside, I was about 16 and was ready to drop my books down and for get them when I came face to face with a shadow man. This thing was well over six foot, I am 5'11 now, what I mean is it was taller than what a normal human would be. And it was like slaming into a breck wall, there was no giving. It was not going against the wall or ducking behind anything or running it was in the center of the room and in your face. It was like a cut out of some kids black paper pad, no light came thourgh it, and it was pissed. Well I droped what I had and ran. I had seen it a few other times and so did my bothers but it was always in my face, but never theirs so I wonder a little why.
I will post more of this house......

RE: Always in my Face
First, thanks for sharing your story. When you say there was 'no giving'..did you actually try to move it or touch it?

Since I started researching, I am usually trying to find any possible natural explanations. The room feeling 'off' could have something to do with electrical wiring, as it is theorized that high EMF's can cause what is known as a 'fear cage', or feelings of paranoia and being watched. I don't have any idea of the room or surroundings, so I don't know what could have caused the shadow. But I am interested in knowing if you actually tried to move it.

No I ran into physically and it was not moving, this thing was standing in the middle of the room by its self on its own. There was nothing in the room that would cast a human shadow that was blacker than the darkness in the room. I was only in the room a few seconds after that, I did not try to touch it after running into it. The room was fine most any other time, but every so often you felt the extreme need to leave. It seemed that it was confined to the older part of the house and was never seen in the newer part.

Waiting to see what UNR has to say/ask about this one...

Interesting. Usually I don't hear of anyone actually coming that close to what they believe is a shadow person - surely not physically running into/up against it...

RE: Always in my Face
Ok, I have been in this thing for over 30 years, what I mean is I have seen, heard or felt things in my life, and I will also say that I'am one of the biggest skeptic's that you will find -there is always an answer to the sound that you have heard - that is untill reason runs out. I ran into this shadow thing, not by it, not passed it, but into it and at the time I might have been 125lbs at 5'11" ya, I am not the biggest peron on the face of the earth, but it was... It was like running into somesone that hates, fears, agers or covets all that we have and is 345lbs with and attutued. these things are Not shadow people, they are real fear.......

RE: Always in my Face
I have also run into a type of blackness, many times in my life. You are not alone.. i have also walked right into a huge cold spot, it felt more like a freezer. I followed it as it went quickly into the kitchen, that is where i lost it. That was in the middle of the day, and have no clue what it could have been. I dont post much about these type things any more, as i have been teased in the past. I know what i know!!!!!

Pride and Fear always distort the truth into either a false sense of security or a lack of confidence and diminished self-worth.

Thank you, I can understand some people out there having trouble wrapping their heads around this concept because it does not follow the usual fast moving or hid and go seek shadow creature idea. These are more up front and are not afraid to show themselves either as a swirling black mass or as in my case a paper cut out form with no detail (like eyes, nose and mouth). It is my opinion that these entities are not human or if they were they have long forgotten what it was like to be human so I would classify them as inhuman. I would like to hear more of your encounter with them.

Jerry, I hope you didn't mistake my questions for having any doubts about your experience. Shadows actually do fascinate me because it was one of the first experiences I had, as well as my mother having a very vivid one. I don't think that every single one can be explained, but I do like to ask a lot of questions. I believe that is how we will find out what is truly paranormal. I'm sorry if that was taken to mean that I didn't believe what you were saying or that I thought you hadn't looked at other explanations.

Question..have you done any research into the history of the home?

Ok, no I did not mistake your questions about what I experienced, just a little about myself – I question everything, I will go so far as to question is the house made of old wood or new wood (old wood being very hard) in nature and new is what you get now, soft as in 2x4’s and I have always been this way. I question everything. Because what people believe what they see or hear can be explained away 99% percent of the time as a natural occurring event, a play on light or what not. The real enigma is that what I saw did not run or dart away but stood its ground and the feeling I got of just hatred, makes me believe that it was an inhuman. Yes I have done research on the house and property and it goes back, there are others that have done the same thing, but usually the entities are benign or just there, not so to say in your face. I will post more on this house, because I truly believe it to be truly hunted.

RE: Always in my Face
Jerry, have you checked electrical stuff in the home - make sure you're not in a fear cage environment, particularly for the room in which you feel you've encountered a shadow/entity?
