Good theory Pontiac, but I have a question concerning this theory. If they are what is responsible for our dreams, considering they read our minds during the day, where would lucid dreaming play into the whole scheme of things. Is this just us kind of taking back over their interpretation? And what about people who "dream the future so to speak?" Are these actual warnings from the shadow people? Are they the ones that can see the future? Good theory, I hope you can elaborate more. I guess that was more than "a question."

well there are other theories of shadow people being omens so that could play into people "dreaming the future". they are showing them what could hapen. i know when we sleep thats when all of our memories from that day are "processed" so we remember.

as for the lucid dreaming....im not sure lol i will have to think about that more


eh its just a theory, i thought of it because ive read a lot of "Stories" with people waking up and seeing them( wheather its because they are fully awake or not) and then they disapear. i know ive had the same thing happen previously, couldve been because i wasnt fully awake. but its just a theory.


here is another one, what if they are dead spirits?? spirits or energy that has died off on the other side. everything has energy of some sort and it doesnt just go away. its a never ending cycle. how about that one?

i appreciate every ones replies its nice to discuss the things i think of during the day with people who have the same interest in the paranormal

I agree 100%. I believe our inner energy is part of our soul that is everlasting. I do not think once we pass, we lose our energy. That does not make sense to me.

Again, I agree with you. It is nice to have a place like Talk Paranormal where we can come and discuss the paranormal. We might not all agree, and that is okay. Everyone seems open minded, and respectful. I love being able to have a debate without it turning ugly.

People that have had attachments to you that have past on still have feelings for you some good some bad. Do you try to become in tune with the possible contact and do you let them in or fight it?

We tend to feel terror at the thought of seeing a spirit or actually hearing a voice even a smell.But being receptive and calm may allow a better contact to occur with them.If you can deal with your minds initial terror and meditate on remaining calm when seeing an apparition and even talking to it contact could be regular for you.

Practice controlling your reactions as what you would do so you won't become terrorized if you receive the privilege of speaking to the dead.

I wanted to add a quick question to this already great thread. My question is, is it unusual to see Shadow people/creatures in broad daylight?

I've seen a lot of shadow people and usually I don't get any feeling from them when I do see them. There have been times I'll be sitting on the dining room table and if I look to my right is a wall with my mom's china cabinet and then the hallway leading to the rooms; but sometimes it'll be still enough daylight that we dont need any of the lights and I've seen a few shadow men walk out of my mom's bedroom and into the hallway.

I also can say that it wasn't someone walking from her room to the hallway as sometimes only me and my mom are home with the two youngest boys (all in the living room or kitchen area) and these shadow figures are very tall around 6 or 7 feet. The tallest person in the family is my dad at about 5'10.

I hope to find some answers.

HHK- I do not think it is unusual to see them during the day at all. I have seen them both day and night. They have appeared in places were no shadow could be cast due to a light source.

Thanks both Ali and WitchMom78. I was just wondering because I had gotten tonsillitis back in November and up until that point I had never seen shadow people/creatures in broad daylight so it kinda worried me. But now I'm feeling much better and have nothing to worry over.

No, I would not worry. If you start seeing them more frequently, or you feel negative energy, please let us know. We will try to help you determine a cause, or reason. Otherwise.... no worries
