Here is a photo that was sent in to us by a True Ghost Tales visitor.

Quote:My nephew took a picture at the Crescent Hotel last Halloween, he was just trying to get a picture of the back of the fireplace in the lobby, when he looked at the picture on his camera there was a black streak in the middle of the picture, we were all joking saying he got a ghost picture, we pulled it off and put it on a laptop and got it to full size, turns out the black streak was a man, a transparent man, I was wondering if I could submit this to you and maybe you could tell me if it was a reflection of some type or if it really was a ghost...
Thank you.

This looks like a double exposure to me. I am wondering what type of camera was used to take it as the "old" film type cameras are known for sometimes producing double exposures like that.
I would say a slow shutter speed, you can see the person walking across the picture the picture was snapped at the point the person is somewhat solid as they continue they fade out. This is easily duplicated.

Skatha

I agree on the double exposure. It's easy to forget if someone was around when we take photos, especially if there's an event behind the photo(s).

Biggun

It looks like a double exposure to me but I cant really imagine how it could happen with a digital camera..... hmmm????

I agree with blacknight about the double exposure thing.I had the same thing happen to me I dropped the camera, and when i got them develpoed my sister was stadding behind me kinda faded in a pic.I do believe in ghosts though! =)

Soulfly

being a digital camera it looks more like a long exposure via shutter speed and aperture settings (imho)....b
Personally I think it is photo shopped. It is pretty close but some of the bricks are off and do not line up right. The color of the brown thing on the wall is off as well. One side is much darker than the other (could be due to window though). Also the frame on the thing is off a bit as well.

Looks more like they took a pic with a guy standing there then took another without him there.

Just my opinion though.
