Quote: (CBS) Not satisfied with living in Florida, Jonathon "The Impaler" Sharkey wants to move to Washington, D.C., to become the nation's first vampire president, reports CBS affiliate WTSP.
Sharkey, 45, spent Friday on a Greyhound bus with his new fiancee, Audrianna Foster, a 19-year-old girl from Ohio he met online. She too believes she is a vampire, or vampyre.
He has scheduled a Monday press conference in Tampa to announce his plans to file paperwork to run for President of the United States in 2012. He recently switched his party affiliation from Independent to Republican so he can run with the G.O.P.

Whats the world coming to?
Looks like if he wins, he'll get elected just in time to tell the Mayans "Merry Christmas!"
hmm...vampires in the Republican party....**don't go there, scarygirl...don't go there...**
brb...I have GOT to check this link......
I wouldn't mind a vampyre for president. lol. The fact that hes dating someone so young they could be his daughter is creepy though so that's a major negative.
Didn't this happen during the last election?
well well well
Not only will he finish off the nation buying sucking the rest of the money out of us but he will suck out your blood to if you cross him lol
also AA there is nothing wrong with the age of his woman me and my hubby CT are 20 years apart so I guess I am on your negative list as well he is old enough to be my dad as well and has a daughter as old as me but age doe not matter sweetie and some day you will understand that age dont make a hill of beans when it comes to true love and your soul mate not saying that this is the case with them
But come on really a vamp in the white house all I have to say is I bet Turtle Necks will come back in style really fast if he gets in

Can a person who has been on probation and has a record really be taken seriously as a presidential candidate? I think not..
The vampire subculture as a whole has also put out an official statement that they are in no way affiliated with this man. Yes people, the 'true' vampires have in fact disowned this man.
(Sorry I can't link that statement, it's a private site and won't be viewable).
Sharkey also ran for Governor of Minnesota back in 2006. His arrest on outstanding warrants for failure to appear in court for stalking and escape charges (dating back to 2005) in Indianapolis Indiana was the reason he had to drop out of the election back then. He had skipped town while out on a $100,00 bond. His limelight political adventures had led to his capture.
Poor fella.
I admit I did like some of his campaign proposals, among which was one that would use impalement to execute murderers, rapists and terrorists.
"As governor, terrorists and criminals will live in fear of me, while the people of this state will be able to live fear free." ~Jonathan Sharkey

Yes, most of 'em are anyways

Your not on my negative list, and I don't think it age matters, it's just the fact that they met online probably before she was 19. It's fine that they are in love, but it's not always that way when people meet on the internet things could be bad.

(bites tongue to resist urge to make comments about certain past presidents...*snerk!*)
Reading about this guy though....I'm not real worried about him getting elected. He's got more concerns with restraining orders against young girls and such....that's NEVER a good start to a campaign....
