Check out this old picture taken in 1942 of two people during a wedding. If it isn't fake, it's the most extraordinary example of pareidolia i've seen.

Spooky, I had a teacher thru highschool who had pictures of a burning church from her hometown...don't remember where but anywho... there were ghosts inside everywhere even in a puddle of water outside... u can only make out the heads and faces. The whole class was in awww
I don't think it's pareidolia. It's too clear, and I don't know, did they even have the ability to manipulate photography back then? Forgive my ignorance on the subject, but I would like to know what is done to manipulate a photo. If it isn't manipulated.......................I don't know. But it's way too clear of an image to be pareidolia. In my opinion, anyway.
Scarygirl

It was possible to manipulate photos back then but it usually wasn't convincing. That looks like something that was there at the time. It could be a cloth of some kind in the tree, blowing in the wind.
Yes, but that face is so clear. I don't think a cloth could look that defined. I would like a better look at the picture where it's not so blown up like that. Is there a way to get a better look at the first photo? The natural one that doesn't have the image blown up like that?
That's the only version i could find.
Here is the problem I see, we don't know who did the picture. We have no negative. We look at it as an old picture and our mind tells us they couldn't modify a picture back then. Well this is where we make a mistake. Its on the internet so it can very well be modified now to still look old.

I will go modify it and want your honest opinions. Keep in mind this will be a fast modify so it won't be perfect.
It really is a spooky photo. I'm sooo glad it was daylight when I looked at it! At nightime when I'm on here, I usually have all the lights off, the only light coming from the computer screen. That image would have made me turn all the lights on! To heck with the power bill!

I am going back to look at it again.............while it's still daylight. Maybe I can get a better look at the first photo. The other one is just too in my face for me to make a real judgement. But I do know this............if it is fake, it's one of the best fake jobs I've seen!
Just saw your post UNR. I'll be sure and look at that.

Ok now this was a fast modify job if I had taken my time I could of made it look better. But what I want to show is that its really easy to make fake pictures.

I can see i should of added more noise to make it match a bit better.
UNR

I get what you're saying but i still think it's something actually in the photo, like i said earlier, i don't think it's anything supernatural, maybe a cloth in the tree. May even a bouquet (as the head) with cloth attached to it.
