I own an alarm clock with a radio in it, but I never use the radio. It's always turned off. However, sometimes, it emits static, for apparently no reason. I was wondering if this could be a result of having a visitor from the other side. Thanks in advance.

I believe it's possible that it could be something from the other side as you said. They've been known to try to communicate through electronic devices such as televisions and radios. And, they do produce a energy that can disrupt other energies such as electricity, radio and television waves.
But, it could also be that the clock radio is old, or has gotten a short somewhere in the radio and it still receives short bursts of electricity now and then even though it's not turned on. That's just a possibility.
It would be interesting to know more. Has anything else strange happened? Have you ever seen or felt spirits before? If this is the one and only event that you've ever experienced like this, then I'd be more apt to say it's just a problem with the radio. Just my opinion though.
1. First is the radio an option on the alarm? If it is does the noise go off either at the set time or a 12 hour difference? This may just be a poor contact in the radio.
2. Its possible to be picking up a ham or cb radio that has been modified.
3. Try and keep a log of when this happens and look for a pattern. This can pin point times and let you look for a cause.
4. Move it to another location in the room with a different plug.
5. Try turning the radio on and tune it between stations and listen for contact
6. Call it haunted and sell it on ebay.
Great advice UglyNRude! It could definitely be interference from something. We once had a lot of trouble with cb's cutting in on our radio all the time. Sometimes we could be playing cassette tapes (yes years ago) and it we'd even hear voices cutting in over the tape. The radio wouldn't even be on!
It's always random, sometimes it happens at night, sometimes during the day, whenever it feels like it. I have had other strange things happening to me. The other day, about a week ago, I was sitting on my bed and out of the corner of my eye saw a shadow fly across the wall. ...Then the disc tray on my laptop popped out, and I wasn't even touching it. That happens a lot, too. Also, yesterday I was sitting in my last-block class (high school >.<) and my body went ice cold for about 5 seconds, originating from what felt like a hand on my left shoulder...but there wasn't anyone behind me. O.o The radio is fairly new, about two years old now, and it's been doing it since I got it.
Also, for reasons of pure curiosity, I pulled out my old microcassette recorder and let it record all night as I slept. Later, when I went through the tape, I found that first there were thumps. Could have been me sleeping, I tend to hit things. - -;; But seeing as they were in quick succession, I'm not entirely sure. Then there were beeps, which you could only hear when the tape was on double-speed. The radio might have been going off as I slept, that might show up on the tape as beeps. There was also a low moan on the tape in two spots, but it was so low I could never have made it, no matter what. Lastly, there was a wind-type noise. If I were taping during a storm, that would have made sense, but since it was a peaceful February night in western-central Connecticut I highly doubt a storm suddenly picked up. Now...what should I make of this?
About the static...well, it answers me. One night, I decided to see if this was really something going on. I said that I would be asking some questions, and that yes was three to five seconds of static, and no was nothing. After I said this, it went quiet. I started asking. "Is there someone there?" And it came through as a yes. I started asking other questions, and got answers. It freaked me out...especially since it was about 3 AM.
So...what now?

I won't say that nothing supernatural is going on without a doubt, but I in my experience I find all this hard to believe. I don't understand why, if you were having all this trouble your first post only mentioned the static.
These are just my opinions:
If I'd bought a brand new clock radio and it kept coming on, I'd taken it back and exchanged it and gotten one that wasn't messed up. I have never known of any cassette that could record for an entire night, they just can't hold hours and hours of sound. I also don't think static would show up on a recording as beeps, it would show up as static!
Again, these are just my thoughts about the information you've given. And, again, I'm not saying that there's no supernatural happenings going on around you.
If you really honestly think that something is coming through the clock radio, why do you still have it? And, why have you kept it for 2 years? I would have gotten rid of it long ago, or cleansed it and gotten rid of what ever it is, if it were me.
Not real sure about the low moans, but from experience with my husband and children, I know for a fact that we make some pretty weird noises in our sleep, especially deep sleep. Noises that we probably could not duplicate when we're awake.
Speaking from personal experience there could be a real possibility that something is trying to communicate with you, BUT also you could have a defective radio/alarm clock.
Several years ago we lived in a very old house that strange things would happen one thing was a static noise coming from our radio/alarm clock. First thing we did was buy a new one, but the new one did this also. So we chalked it up to "spirits" in the house. We later bought a Dora the explorer clock for our daughter and hers only played prerecorded music and still at times hers would make a static noise.
A cleansing of your home could be in order, if anything I dont think it could hurt.
But that is just my opinion, others may vary

I only mentioned the static in the first post because everything since then has just started happening. As in, it started after I posted the first time. I've only recently started to suspect of something coming in through the clock, previously I had no idea what was happening and thought of it as nothing. That's why it's still here. I don't believe I'm in danger if something actually is going on. Also, it might be due to the house itself: every wall clock that we've ever hung on this one particular wall in the house has died within the month. The house might just naturally have a strange electromagnetic pulse. So, now that I know more about what I originally came here to learn, I thank you all once more for all your help in this matter and I believe that I can take care of everything from here on out. Again, thank you very much, I appreciate the input you have given and will be able to handle everything now. ^_^

Well, if all the other stuff only started happening after you posted about it here, then it would seem if it is indeed something supernatural, it didn't like getting "pointed out" or recognized for what it is.
I would definitely get the house cleansed, just like Shastar said, it can't hurt anything even if it is something in the physical house itself.
