Has anyone else been keeping up with the dying fish and birds thing going on the past few days? I've been reading a ton of news articles and to be honest it's freaking me out a little, it's like something from a movie. Apparently over a million dead fish have washed up on the coasts on the US, Brazil, and New Zealand. 100,000 in Arkansas alone. Thousands of birds have been found dead some even just dropped out of the sky without an indication of why and now dead birds are being reported in Sweden.
I honestly don't know. I've been keeping up with it too. Found this article in the Huffington Post about it...covers pretty much what has happened the last few days.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/05...04591.html

We're hearing now of hundreds of fish found dead as early as August on the East Coast.
I did hear about it something about a hundred crow just dropped dead in Arkansas.......weird :/
Actually it was five thousand red winged blackbirds. The spot fish death toll has reached two million in Chesapeake Bay. 150 tons of Red Tilapia in Vietnam...more mass wildlife deaths in Brazil and New Zealand.

Stock up your pantries now folks. It AFLOCKALYPSE!
To me while the deaths are sad the human reactions are hilarious. First you need to know this happens all the time, its nothing new. That said here is what its doing.

Here are some of the claims
" This proves the end is near."
" Map of doom "
" Hysteria is spreading across the world "
" Government testing causing bird and fish deaths "
" Aliens behind fish and bird deaths "
" Terrorists are poisoning our food supply "

and to not skip the paranormal

"Demons are showing they are growing in strength"
I understand that it does happen....but in these numbers? Or is it just the fact that we are paying closer attention to this because of the reports from Arkansas?

I thought about the New Year's Eve fireworks and of course the storms that hit the area on New Year's weekend..but I have to admit, the fish and birds BOTH dying in those numbers and in that time frame is concerning me Then to hear of the other reports across not only the country but the whole world...it does make one wonder. Or, as I mentioned before..are we simply paying closer attention to things that happen more often than we take note of?

Regardless...I am loving the word "Aflockolypse"!
It took long enough for this to get posted here, lol.
I admit its a little unnerving , I guess my questions are if the first big flock was killed by firworks startling them, then why doesnt this happen every 4th of July?
AAaaannnd since there havent been any more fireworks since new years why do large amounts of birds keep showing up dead daily?
It's true that mass die offs occur and we at least know through recorded history they always have. The thing that is upsetting to me is not that the end of the world is near...but that 'they' aren't making a big enough deal about it and giving the credit where credit is due. The pattern of the normal and natural balance of the culling of the environment has been upset greatly. We are told the causes are natural. The hell they are.

We did this. Us wonderful, witty, intelligent and greedy humans.

The ecosystem is a very delicately balanced and even fragile thing. As far back as last June marine biologists predicted the increase in mass animal deaths was yet to come, and that it was directly related to the oil spill in the gulf last year. Here's just one article;
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/06/16/fis...ers-await/

This news report doesn't even take into account the gulf stream patterns that have been affected. The gulf winds have changed the weather patterns across the entire globe...just a little, just enough to upset the balance of global ecosystem. Notice the fuel prices recently, they are rising once again, because our weather and it's changing patterns do affect the increased need for fuel. The more we need to use our natural resources the more they will cost.

Some conspiracy theorists have even mentioned the link between the government strings and their puppets Halliburton and British Petroleum being fully aware that a disaster of such proportions was in the cards. Changing the pattern of the gulf stream...if it could be done, and it has been...could create a new, completely dependant global economy.

My opinion is that we have screwed up the balance of our planet just enough, that it might not be such a nice and easy place to live in just a few years to come. When people open their eyes and finally see what we are capable of doing...what we have already done, it will be far too late.

I share your opinion.

Because the birds are not migrating at that time of year normally! Now they are flying in groves to warmer areas and with the whacky temps alot of the birds have not left yet. Shoot, here in Missouri we are seeing late migrations!

Most necropsy results are saying internal bleeding due to blunt force trauma. But you can't be sure if it was from the impact of hitting the ground or did they run into buildings?
