Hi guys,

I have another night shift hospital story to tell.

This happened about 1-2 months after my first story, 'the man in the brown coat is watching'.

I was bored on night shift so i decided to go watch TV while i ate my dinner. I decided to go and watch TV in the new ward that was built/renovated out of an old part of the hospital that was empty before the renovations. This new ward was a big square dialysis ward so it has about 10-15 reclining chairs all the way around the outside of the room up against the wall, and above every chair was a new HD LCD TV that you can watch by using the patient remote that was connected to the wall behind each chair and each remote just hangs off the back of each chair. The remotes has a little speaker in them that the sound comes out of as the TV speakers are disabled so when they are all on in the day it doesn't sound like a TV shop. It also has 6 buttons, channel up and down, volume up and down, TV on/off switch and a light switch that activates a light behind the chair for reading and things like that. The remotes look very similar to the remotes you would use to control the hospital beds.

So anyway i heated up my dinner and ate it all while i watched TV on the recliner in the dark ward. After i finished eating i was about to get up and go outside to have a smoke when a light caught my attention coming from the opposite side of the room. I was in the bottom left corner of the room, and the light came from the top right hand side of the room, so the exact opposite.

I got up and walked over there and found that one of the patient TV's had turned itself on , i know it did because it caught my eye straight away because at the time the only light in that room was coming from the TV i was watching. I couldn't actually see the TV screen from were i was sitting as each chair has a TV facing that chair, all i could see was the light coming off it hitting the wall behind it.

So i just kinda stood there for probably 1 min thinking "how could it just turn on, they are brand new". Then i decided to turn the TV off and go out for the smoke i was going to have, being a little spooked.
I leaned over to pick up the remote that was hanging behind the chair and the second i touched it the little speaker on the remote started to blare really loudly, people cheering and screaming at the tennis which was on that TV. Now normally the volume can be set at 10-15 for a slightly deaf person and they can hear it, as i reached in for the second time ( i jolted the first time as i didn't expect it) i started to turn the TV down and it was on 60 ,65 being max.

Now That was freaky for me because its not like i went away and came back and there was another TV on, it happened in front of me, and the volume thing was just unexplainable to me knowing the area and equipment well.

Nothing Like this has happened again since, but i don't go in there as much as i used to (lol) so i wouldn't see it.

The only other things i can think to add about this occasion is that i have spoken to a few people that are open to this sort of thing that work in the same hospital and i have been now told that the new ward that sat empty for so long was a children s ward in the past.
Also if you have read my other story , the man/shadow creature i saw in the window last time was about 5mtrs away from the TV that turned on ( 5mtrs away in a straight line but through 2 walls) this time.

So tonight i set up my sound activated spy camera for the first time so if there is any sound above 65db it will automatically switch on.

have to wait and see. but i am going to keep doing it till i start to find things.

If anything is found i will post it on youtube.

Soooo, what you guys think?

Thankyou all for taking the time to read my story.

=)
I'm so glad you decided to set-up a sound activated spy-camera!!

It sounds like something weird is going on in that hospital....maybe it is haunted. If it is, I am sure the camera will pick something up. You will have to keep us updated if you catch anything.

I always thought hospitals were creepy. I think it's the "perfect place" to be haunted... so many souls lost there, through illness and suffering...
Thank you Fiona,

I hope i can catch some sort of proof that im not crazy lol.

I tried to contact the entity with the cam on tonight with no luck so far, will have to wait till i get home to check.

have found the most freakiest places in this hospital and wrote them all down , im going to try the spy cam in all of them until i get something.

will keep you posted

=)
I've had that happen to me also in my homes, wherever I may be living. I just took it as "something" was there & I'd usually tell it to cut it out! LOL. Tv turning on by itself, channels flipping & the sound getting louder. But, in this forum, I've had people suggest it could be unstable electrical currents. Which I guess could be another explaination.
I'm doing just great Spooky. No visits from my "friends" lately.

Some ppl here in the forum say, it's best if we leave it alone & try not to communicate with it because we don't know if its a good or bad spirit, poltergeist, demon, djinn, or whatever you may want to call it. I usually ignore it because I have noticed that the more I pay attention to it the more frequently it comes around. Are you sure you wanna open up this can or worms? LOL

Anyways, good luck with your camera & equipment! Hope you pick up something & keep us posted !
Very interesting, thanks for posting this. Regarding the TV turning itself on the only thing I can think of is that someone set it to automatically turn on. Granted, I'm not sure why anyone would set it to turn on so loudly at that hour... Has anyone else said anything about that room? In any event, good luck with everything.
Spooky stuff, especially when your alone. Can't wait to see if you caught anything.
I agree with leaving well enough alone. It is exciting to experience such things, but you could be putting yourself into a bad situation. Remember, you dont want anything following you home, and they could ,if indulge to much.

Your not crazy at all, many people experience this type of thing including myself. I dont post about much of it any more as then people tend to want proof and that is hard to get.

In my opinion, if you see it with your own eyes, your word is good enough, you have nothing to prove to us. I am interested in your future posts and what happens next, because im sure it will.
Even if there is an explanation, it doesn't make the experience any less real. And while I am of the opinion that much of what seems paranormal can be explained...I don't think that's true of everything. There is still enough out there that doesn't fit into a box of answers, and that is what keeps us looking. So much of the equipment used to collect data was not intended for using in catching anything paranormal, and yet...what else do we have to work with at this point? But yes, it is important to look at what else might be causing something to happen. These tools may have their flaws in catching true paranormal evidence, but they have been invaluable in showing what ISN'T paranormal.

A hospital has a LOT of people coming in and out..and depending on how old it is, you could be talking a hundred years or more of people passing over. To me, and this is just my opinion..it is not beyond possibility that there is some kind of attempt at communication going on. I also believe that if that is the case, it is nothing to fear.

All you can do is keep your eyes and ears open, document as much as possible, and see what you can catch on audio or video. Of course always look to debunk or to find an answer to what you might be seeing or hearing because there is often a very good explanation. And if no data is collected that can't be debunked..try again at a later time. Humans who are alive don't show up every time you call them to come over...and I don't believe ones that have passed on will either.

Please keep us posted!
