While I have not read this extensively, I am familiar with Michelle Bellenger's work. I know that one distinction she has always wanted to get across, and that is vampires as seen through the eyes of teenagers and the "romantic" vampire are myths. It is something taken very seriously by those who practice, and there is a code of ethics that must be followed. Psychic vampires (those who feed off of others energy) should never do so without the express permission of those who the energy is being taken from.
It may not be something I agree with, but I do respect the work she has put into writing this. My main issue with the whole "vampire craze" among teenagers is the ones who will go so far as to bite each other. The human bite is very dangerous, and for people to just go around doing so without any care or concern for their own health or the health of others is irresponsible...and it is something that I have personally heard those who believe in the Vampire Codex speak strongly against.

I agree with you, that is one of the reasons I have posted this thread, real life vampires are not like ''Edward''. And it can be extremely dangerous to consume the blood of another human...especially if they have a virus which you dont know about, most vampires get donors etc, they dont go around sucking the blood of every being on the planet.

I do find it interesting that she speaks of it as an "awakening"...that it is something that is predestined. I'm not sure if I agree with that...it seems to me that the suggestion of an "awakening" is in and of itself planting a seed.
Again, it is not something I know a lot about, and I'm not going to down on something that I don't understand. I will certainly say it is very well written.

I actually just joined a Psi Vampire forum out of curiosity, and have started to take a look at Michelle Bellenger's work. The awakening seems to be similar to what a light worker or something similar may experience. Like an increased awareness of the world and different planes. Overall so far that have been really accepting and have no problem answering questions.

I have much information on the vampyre rituals, feeding, etc. My friend is a vampire and he teaches. It is likely that you will find a vampire, but werewolves are solitary. I hardly have time to login anymore but when I do I'll put up some more info

I cant lie im surprised and excited that there is already a thread about the psychic vampire codex book kinda of an odd coincedentce cause i just finished reading that book like a week before i joined this site. but DAX25 if your intrested in a good well explained book on psychic vampirism i would deffinatly recomend the codex but just remember when reading it that the book only represents the ideas practices and beliefs of one select group in what is a very diverse sub culture.
