At six seconds you'll see something that doesn't appear in the rest of the video. I haven't actually watched this particular clip since I posted it and I don't recall seeing it when I played it back on the camera. So I've literally just noticed it now.

I shot it using a point and shoot video camera and I've never seen that happening on any other video I've posted or recorded with this camera. That camera died on me later that year but I never had any problems with it before or after this point.

Not saying it's paranormal. But because there are people on this site with more camera experience than I have I thought I'd ask the experts what they thought it might be.
It looks like a burn mark from an old time reel!! Like when the camera would chew up the tape, weird!
That's what I thought at first. And if I saw it on any of my other videos from along that posting time I'd have thought something was wrong with my camera.

I should also point out that this was digital and transferred straight to my laptop before uploading it to Youtube. I had deleted the original video ages ago to clear space.
As you move the camera that way you see the extreme glare. It was the only time you went that high with the camera, I would venture a guess because the glare immediately before and immediately after it was the sun, but its brightness confused either the CCD or cmos sensor or both. . It instead turned it to a dark spot. Just basing that answer on what is presented. Its much like us, we can look at something bright then see a dark spot.
I absolutely agree with UNR, also if you look at the size and shape of the dark spot I'd be willing to bet the bank that was the sun dead on. The camera can't translate that much light and it basically reverses it and gives it a negative photo effect.

Although I am no expert that's my halfhanded, poorly educated opinion.
Deffinatly strange...it looks like a very bright light source IMO. What? not sure. If it was the Sun, you would figure the camera would white out, but that is my guess...the Sun. Looking at the vid again I am pretty sure it is the Sun

It'd be cool of that was the sun dead on. If the camera were still with me (Rest in Piece camera) I'd try to get more shots like that during the day, just for the fun of it.

I think that's the first time I had ever pointed the camera upwards during the day, so it's as likely as any explanation. I think it's just a funny coincidence that it happens in a video where I'm talking about a possible haunted location.
Yeah that's the sun - I used to get the same effect on this crappy camera phone I had. UNR's explanation sounded right on. I have a couple cool looking pictures from that old phone if you're interested in seeing them. Looked exactly the same pretty much.
